It's only called command centre because I've not been able to control the green and red light in the building.

Build notes:
Had built this guy as a superior model of the Seeker, taking and evolving it's design into a bulkier and more formidable looking mech. The head and wearable "eye" design was something I've been wanting
to do previously on the Seeker but was only able to pull it off on this guy (thanks to a droid body). Wanted to actually make it with a full olive green color scheme but apparently I didn't have too much
of it so had to use some old dark grey and DBG so it turned out okay.
The RPG is probably the piece I enjoyed building the most here hehe modeled it like one of those WW1-WW2 military RPGs and really happy with how it turned out.
My grandson Joey enjoying the display.

Originally one of the obsolete Walküre class line of destroyers, the Von Clausewitz has been refitted as a command and control ship for the Strahl forces assigned to Earth.
The main armament of the destroyer has been removed to provide space for advanced C3 equipment. The remaining armament consists of four point defense laser turrets and two forward-facing beam cannons. The vertical launch system on the bow has been heavily modified to launch sensor drones and can no longer arm and fire offensive missiles.
The interplanetary ion engines are taken over unmodified from the Walküre class. Due to the C3 equipment being much lighter than the main weapons previously installed, the Von Clausewitz has excellent acceleration and can outrun most other capital ships.
Highly automated like most Strahl vessels, the ship can be flown by ten people in the case of dire emergency. To efficiently operate the C3 stations, a crew of 1500 is required, usually working in three shifts of 500 crewmen each.
Derived from the M303 Recon Scout mech, the M475 Sentinel, affectionately known as the Blue Tortoise, provides C51 to the modern battlespace. This includes the latest sensors and software to generate a realtime Complete Risk Assessment Profile (C.R.A.P.) which can send targeting information to up to 50 allied units. It is armed with one remote weapon station and multiple grenade dischargers, which can fire smoke and anti-personal munitions.
Ern Cutts was a 466 and 467 Squadron rear gunner during WWII. This photo was taken after I interviewed Ern at his home in Melbourne in October 2015 as part of the International Bomber Command Centre's Bomber Command Digital Archive.

My Best Shot: I picked this photo for the Your Best Shot group because it was the first of the IBCC interviews that I did (I've now completed 10), and therefore it was the first time that I packed the light stand and flash along with my interview kit, went out to visit someone I've never met before and took a lit photo of them. I had no idea what sort of background I'd find until I got there and had to work fairly quickly, and I'm really pleased with how I managed to include the sun as backlight.
This image was in My Ten Best since the album's inception until 02JUL17.

Built by Kenbishi Corporation, the S309 Command Tank saw extensive action in the American theater of World War IV. Employed by American, British, and UN Peacekeepers, the S309 was designed to be piloted by front-line commanders. Unlike many other think tanks of the era, the S309 was equipped with highly advanced adaptive AI. This AI was capable of self-operation even in war zones, freeing the pilot to focus on command responsibilities. The S309 particularly excelled at enabling battlefield commanders coordinate their units in the urban combat scenarios frequently seen in the cities of Mexico. Precursor to the much smaller Fuchikoma line of think tanks employed by urban police units, such as Japan's Section 9.
This model was built for the second year of the Marchikoma build challenge.
I couldn't resist getting the Forgeworld boarding shields. If i ever actually play 40k then these guys will be veterans in a command squad armed with storm shield and storm bolter.
I wanted to make a carrier to go with cruiser Aurora and also to use the minifig chair piece that I have a bunch of from the Pick-a-Brick wall, and this is the result.
Designed for Mobile Frame Zero: Intercept Orbit. Unfortunately, comes in over the 16 stud max length at approximately 19 studs. I need to get work on fighting size creep in my ships, as I feel like they have just been getting bigger and bigger.

Each unit has it's own role to play in the Pathfinder task force, but reconnaissance is all about information gathering, geographical planning, and discovering hostile troop movements, which is what makes the Command Variant the heart of the task force. If this unit is in the area, and you fight under a different flag, it's going to find you. Outfitted with some of the most advanced, and expensive equipment available, it can detect just about anything and everything within a certain range.
Fitted with a powerful ground radar, with a range of up to 30 miles, uncovering enemies in plain sight is effortless, but not all enemies are so easily exposed, so a satellite uplink and control module gives a birds eye view of the entire battlefield, allowing for a much greater assessment of the situation. The Command variant has communication interception equipment for tapping into enemy radio traffic, but it also has counter communication tapping equipment, so that the enemy can't tap into friendly radio chatter. Also fitted to the unit is a radio frequency override system, which hijacks enemy radio equipment and sends out a ping, allowing for the unit to get an exact fix on the location of the radio transmission, and then feed into any other communication equipment that the hijacked radio broadcasts to, effectively creating a network of who's talking to who, and where, all while unknown to the enemy. The front of the vehicle is fitted with multiple antenna so that the Command Variant can keep in touch with multiple friendly units at all times.
Taking out a command vehicle doesn't quite have the potency it did forty of fifty years ago, in that you'd leave the attached task force isolated and cut off. With each member of the task being in constant contact with the command center, if one unit discovers the enemy, all units discover the enemy, and the command center does too, but that being said, the Command Variant is undoubtedly the eyes and ears of the task force, and any information it gathers is fed directly back to the command center in real time, so even if the unit is destroyed, it's work has already been done.
Although this variant has no weapons, any sharp eyed and mindful hostile soldier would have this unit on the top of his kill list, denying his enemy a vital piece of battlefield equipment, and without a doubt keeping many of his allies alive and undiscovered.
As with all Pathfinder vehicles, this unit has a crew of three, including a commander, an intelligence analyst officer, and a driver.
