The commanding general of Army Materiel Command, GEN Ann E. Dunwoody and the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology, Ms. Heidi Shyu came to Afghanistan to meet with the Soldiers and Civilians, logisticians and warfighters. They visited members of the 401st Army Field Support Brigade both in Kandahar and in Bagram and received tours of several of the facilities at each.
About the 401st:
The 401st Army field Support Brigade provides Soldiers, Sailors, Airman, and Marines, the tools and resources necessary to complete the mission. If they shoot, drive it, fly it, wear it, eat it or communicate with it, the 401st helps provide it. The brigade assists coalition partners with many of their logistical and sustainment needs. The brigade also handles the responsible disposition of equipment in Afghanistan to support evolving missions. We are the single link between Warfighters in the field, and working through Army Sustainment Command, we leverage Army Materiel Command’s worldwide Materiel Enterprise to develop, deliver, and sustain materiel to ensure a dominant joint force for the U.S. and our Allies.

With an emphasis on the history, customs, and traditions of the Corps, the Engineer Regiment instituted an award that tied in with the beginnings of the nation and the Army Corps of Engineers.
The day was capped off by the promotion of Staff Sgt. Eric Cintron, information assurance, to Sgt. 1st Class; Master Sgt. Nelson being awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for his work here as FRAGO manager and Sgt. Pakistan Navy will assume command of multinational Task Force 150 operating in North Arabian Sea.
Pakistan Navy is taking over Command of multinational Task Force 150 from French Navy. It is indeed a matter of prestige and significance for Pakistan that our Navy has been requested for the second time to command a major Maritime Coalition Force, comprising units of most modern navies of the world. Previously, Pakistan Navy commanded Task Force 150 from 24 April to 22 August 2006. At that time, Rear Admiral Shahid Iqbal SI(M) commanded Task Force 150. This indeed is a recognition of professional prowess and leadership skills of Pakistan Navy and commitment of Pakistan to assist international coalition in promoting peace and stability in the region. This was harder to get than you'd think. My Manfrotto ball-head isn't strong enough to support my D300 and 18-200 DX VR. It kind of sinks when I crank down the lock. When I got that head I spec'd it for my D50 and tinier lenses. I need to upgrade.
