Through this process we discovered that collaboration and teaming spaces are the main issue to address. The design team responded by creating a flexible zone concept that allow for large and small enclosed conference rooms, open informal teaming areas or closed manager/executive offices. The Flex Zone allows every employee access to common space for meetings. To start the customer experience an Executive Briefing Center and new reception area is being designed to ensure CommScope marketing message is reflected throughout their space. Research and development labs are used not only for product develop but also to show case their employees and expertise. A Demo Porch area was created to allow engineers to present the latest technology to their customer while separating the lab space so that other employees are disrupted.
CommScope, formerly AT&T, is the global leader in infrastructure solutions for communication networks for more then 130 countries. It is the premier manufacture of coaxial cable for broadband cable television networks and one of the leading North American providers of environmentally secure cabinets. CommScope is approaching their new project by building a team that helps facilitate and manage change. Together Steelcase Applied Research & Consulting and BOKA Powell have teamed up to meet this need. With in depth surveys, site observations, executive and employee workshops, the team has defined the criteria and goals for the project. This information is being used throughout the project during all phases to validate all ideas. These benchmarks have been established and will be tested and validated in the post move-in survey.
Barry is one of CommScope’s top patent holders: “Innovation is solving a customer’s problem by finding ideal non-intuitive solutions that have the potential to generate value for the company and society.” As CommScope celebrates its 40th Anniversary, we honor Barry and all our patent holders for what they do for the industry and for CommScope. An in-building wireless solution like a distributed antenna system (DAS) helps, but in a sprawling campus or office park, the high cost and large footprint of dedicated operator base stations and DAS head-end equipment can make the economics of the solution challenging.
This is precisely why we created the Era C-RAN antenna system. Era coordinates wireless capacity throughout the entire coverage area via a single centralized head-end location or from an operator’s existing C-RAN hub.
Designed from the proven success of ION-E®, the Era operates on the same cost-efficient standard IT cabling and is compatible with ION-E deployments. Sharing the same infrastructure as other IP-connected devices is a big bonus for smart buildings because it simplifies installation and maintenance, reducing total cost of ownership

From a global perspective, Genzers in Tokyo check their phones most often, while those in Bangalore look at them the least.
This development by Decibel Systems (later acquired by Andrew) enabled the neutral host distribution of cellular network signals and became the default method for providing indoor wireless coverage and capacity inside large structures and outdoor venues. Subsequent innovations included digital transport, outdoor DAS, the first digital point-to-multipoint DAS and the first direct CPRI interface to DAS systems. www.commscope.com/top-40-innovations/
Desired future features for GenZ relate to speed, another component of time. This highlights their need to be connected effectively, all the time.

Communications networks are more complex than ever before. Worldwide, we create 2.5 quintillion bytes of data every day. On average, we switch screens 21 times each hour to see what we want – when and where we want it.
How does this happen?
By managing the connections of both wired and wireless networks,
Covering millions of elements with the advent of IoT,
Creating new architectures from the network core through the edge,
Integrating connectivity for licensed and unlicensed spectrum,
Minimizing complexity in network management, and
Continually resetting the bar for low latencies at multi-gigabit speeds.
CommScope and ARRIS are coming together to accelerate a vision to shape the communications networks of the future. The combined company will provide greater technology, solutions and employee talent, with broader access to new and growing markets.
This combination creates a communications company with unmatched breadth, depth and capabilities. Never has our potential been so great.
Close to 80% indicate they are using their smartphones more than they were a year ago and this behavior is increasing across all devices, including laptops, tablets and fitness trackers.
Whether you are connecting multiple data center buildings in a campus or are interconnecting enterprises to cloud and service providers in the meet-me room, CommScope delivers an extensive platform of fiber-optic solutions designed to meet your needs.
