We got on the wrong train from Middelfart to Århus and ended up in Lunderskov. We then got on the slow train to Århus. Two teenage girls were aboard who made their hair styling activities into performance art for the entire car. Loud, working in the aisle and as happily unaware as could be, they fixed each other's hair in a variety of styles and filled the air with hair spray. Of course, during a long, slow journey, I got out the camera and took the occasional snap of scenery flying by and people in the window reflections. When my partner took a comb to her hair I grabbed a shot of both her and one of the happy young hairdressers in action.

Staccatene un pezzo con le dita, schiacciate la cera contro il palato, lasciate che la lingua anneghi nella senzione di dolce fino a quando non diventa così intensa da trasformarsi in calore...ripetere ad libitum

I have always loved buildings that feature polychromatic brickwork and this example from Suffolk is very much to my taste. The old school at Combs near Stowmarket matches the school house next door. The building has a datestone for 1875 above the stone framed window.

Where the genertator and turbine was: now a garage without a drive.

The mines worked intermittently throughout the 19th Century and were worked continuously from 1900 to 1920, winning lead, zinc and galena. The dam provided a head for hydro-electricity for the mine and immediate community, and was breached (deliberately) when the community around 'Seldom Seen' at the foot of the beck was connected to the National Grid in the 1950s.

Changing seasons and changing light.

A typical small Durham draw kiln with three draw holes for one pot. This is at Comb Bridge in the Parish of Muggleswick. It has benefited from some restoration works.

I couldn't find a common name for this one.

While shooting last Sunday I found (a first for me) this one growing on a cut log end. It was in a very dark area and I was shooting hand held so it could have been a better shot. My book says its edible but I will take there word for it. LOL
