Comb jelly. They are bioluminescent, meaning they produce light. Obviously a still picture cannot capture the effect, but they pulse and glow. Really cool little creatures.

This sunset in the desert level is about done for now.

 

The terrain data is taken from the Comb Ridge area in Utah. The range of cliffs is pretty amazing, running for miles almost exactly north to south with 1000 ft drops apparently.

 

I really want to visit all these locations one day.

I don't understand girls with massive comb-overs. It feels ridiculous.

I found this comb on a windowsill of this long abandoned cottage in Gorstan.

Toned in Showfoto. Zenit 3m film developed with out of date chemicals and negatives hung on the garden line to dry.

Silver Plated Combs for the Bride and Bridesmaids

This was built in the space we left for ventilation between the follower board and the hive body. Lots of drone cells. For an idea of the size the darker brown board the comb is resting on is the follower board.

The shape of Japanese combs always intrigues me; there's more decoration than actual comb teeth! But of course this one (1800-1880) would have been purely for decoration, used to adorn a hairstyle. I like the colour combination of red and gold on ivory.
