I'm celebrating the end to 2024 by posting a young Shieldbug.
I came across them for the first time this year and was swept off my feet at how beautiful they are.
Although adults are interesting, their babies are out to put on a show with their patterns and colours.
So, on the eve of 2025, here's a young Hawthorn bug stepping out with its party frock on.

SSR GM27 & B75 are seen on Trip Train no. T277 bound for Yennora passing through Auburn. GM27 having been wrapped in DP works colours in tandem with the Yennora train contract and B75 recently being gauge converted from BG to SG

Northern lights close to BÃ¥tsfjord. It was not easy to photograph on a ship. You can not use a tripod because the ship is constantly moving...
A walk in the afternoon autumn sun highlights the colours of the trees along Meadowhead past the livery yard.

Past the colours that fill all eyes

Kanyakumari is the southernmost part of mainland India. Situated in the Tamil Nadu state it is situated at the confluence of the Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal.
