Statue of Donald Dewar, Scotland's first First Minister and graduate of Glasgow University. The statue is located at the very top of Buchanan street in the city centre, which stretches all the way to St Enoch Square.

Rain drops on the leaves of the Ladys mantle (Alchemilla vulgaris)

something new by mint royale is the song at the moment for me....

Graham found the nest and the chick who was sitting tight in the dark safety of a willow tree..Graham had his brand new thick Camouflage (Matalan..£16.00) combats on and still got stung as he wrestled into the undergrowth to get in close and he was rewarded with some lovely shots..[http://www.flickr.com/photos/cosperwosper/4781368540/]

I already had a bee sting from the night before and feeling a bit of a woos..hung back and got some very dark shots...well I resorted to Picassa again and fiddled and twiddled to get these images which I think have their own charm...what say you?

:)

The first attempts at playing with colour have been really good fun. Check out 'Ivy heart 1' to see where I started.

My mates garden is magical...it's in a forgotten land high in the Brendon hills..I love it...time stands still there and it hugs you with it's simple beauty.

Bit of a hippy moment there...please excuse me!

:)

Opportunities to get out and make new pictures are, of necessity, limited during the COVID-19 outbreak so, from 1st April 2020, I've been hunting through my archives to find images taken on the same date in previous years. I've tried to choose eight each day. They've mostly not been published here before and potentially cover the period 1980-2020. I hope you enjoy them.

On the drive home we spotted a hare and I leapt out of the car running to the gate where I saw the hare disappearing into the distance..The light was failing and I just took a pot shot for fun....then I played with it on Picassa for a bit more fun..It looks like an acrylic painting now...it's a lot better than the original anyway...ha ha!

Now my little ivy leaf looks completely different...hope you like it!

So I masked, cropped, cloned, changed colours/contrast and finally saturated!!

What a carry on!
