First piece of work from the Erosion Bundle project. The colour has transferred from other pieces, the stitches were already there, the calico piece is mounted on hand made silk paper.

tried this out a spazillion different ways in b&w but it seemed to flatten the background in not very interesting ways. besides, as medievalknit pointed out - sometimes you just have a better response to colours.

Canon 430EX with a Dark Yellow Green coloured gel at 1/8 power with a Stofen dome in my right hand pointed at my face at arms length

I could not believe how this Mantis [Mantidae family] was watching me as I took this photograph.
Every time I moved its eyes would follow me, it was like it was thinking who in the hell is this big guy.
