Excerpt from the press release:

More than 500 people attended a "Dress in Blue Day" event at Louisville's Fourth Street Live -- raising awareness of colon cancer amid a sea of blue activities.

The March 2 event, hosted by the Kentucky Cancer Program and its Falls District Cancer Council, featured tours of the "Incredible Colon", an enormous inflated wal-through colon model. Special guests included Madeline Abramson, Honorary Kentucky Chair of Dress In Blue Day, Dr. Whitney Jones of the Colon Cancer Prevention Project, and colon cancer survivors John Huggins and David Britt, Ph.D., a University of Louisville faculty member. Rachel Platt of WHAS-TV served as emcee.

Several organization partnered with KCP to make the event special, including FORD/UAW, which displayed "blue" vehicles made in its Kentucky plants."
