En voyant l'élégant petit coupé sur le stand Bertone au salon de Genève en 1962, bien peu auraient deviné qu'elle avait pour base la petite berline Simca 1000 toute 'carrée', un vilain petit canard automobile s'il en fût. Désireux de rehausser l'image de la voiture, la direction de Simca avait demandé au carrossier italien une version sportive, le travail étant confié à l'étoile montante Giorgio Giugiaro. Les carrosseries étaient construites à l'usine Bertone de Turin, l'assemblage final étant réalisé à l'usine Simca de Poissy, sur une ligne de montage propre. Le coupé reprenait le moteur arrière à soupapes en tête de 994 cm3 de la berline, et ses trains roulants, ces derniers étant améliorés par l'adoption de freins à disques, tandis que l'intérieur arborait un ensemble de compteurs dignes d'une Ferrari. Le moteur avait lui aussi été amélioré, délivrant 52 ch (7 de plus que la berline) et autorisait une vitesse maximale de 140 m/h. La plupart des voitures furet vendues en France, environ 10.600 ayant été produites avant la transformation du modèle en 1200 S en 1967.
Cette Simca 1000 là a eu quatre propriétaires en Italie avant de d'être achetée par son actuel propriétaire en 2005, date depuis laquelle elle a résidé en Grèce. Repeinte en 2004, l'intérieur en vinyl noir ayant été conservé, la voiture est décrite comme étant en très bon état, ayant bénéficié récemment d'un entretien. La documentation afférente comprend les papiers d'immatriculation historique (en Grèce), l'inspection technique, une carte d'identité FIVA, ses papiers ASI, un Estratto Cronologico et un manuel du propriétaire.

In celebration of Batman Day. I wanted to showcase my favorite Batman figures in my collection. This is only a tiny part of my Batman figure collection. The figures shown are my absolute favorite figures. Spanning the years of 1984, starting with Kenner's Superpowers Batman, to 2015 with the Mafex 2.0 Dark Knight Trilogy Batman.
Notice that the majority of my Batmen are sporting my custom capes.
