My current Jordan collection that I have been accumulating the past 6 months. This will continue to grow.
Spring Blossom Green, Butterfly Gold, Meadow, Wildflower, Strawberry Sunday, Snowflake Garland
Not shown, Old Towne Blue collection, Woodland collection, cups and saucers in Meadow and Wildflower, platters in almost all the designs.
I met a sweet couple today. They have a huge collection of very special, hand picked rocks on their patio. When the rocks get wet (via rain or the hose) they come ALIVE with color and detail! I must have spent an hour photographing and admiring them. :o)
Sadly, they dry so quickly in the heat and the colors and detail hide until they are exposed once again. P1220271

The collection had many banks. For the first six feet along the back wall, from the floor, up, was all banks. Above six feet were power company trucks.

Digitised image from the Town Hall Photographer's Collection - GB127.M850
The Town Hall Photographer’s Collection is a large photographic collection held in Manchester City Council’s Central Library archives, ranging in date from 1956 to 2007.
The collection consists of tens of thousands of images, covering the varied areas of work of Manchester Corporation and latterly, Manchester City Council.
The photographs were taken by staff photographers, who were tasked to document the work of Corporation/Council departments and, in doing so, captured many aspects of Manchester life and history, including significant changes to the Manchester landscape.
The collection includes many different formats from glass negatives, to slides, prints, CDs and even a couple of cine films.
What is especially exciting is that the majority of these images have never before been available in a digital format and therefore have only ever been seen by a handful of people.
A team of dedicated Staff and Volunteers are currently working on the systematic digitisation of the negatives held within the collection.
This album represents the result of their work to date.

Kensitas flowers were woven from silk and given away with Kensitas cigarettes in 1933 & 1934. Never before or since their issue has a silk been given away contained in an outer protective card.
They were in two collections, about 100 in all I think.
I bought these few, from 1933, at a collectors' fair about twenty years ago. This size was given in packets of 20 cigarettes,
Postcard size given with packets of 50 - I've never seen these.
There are full details at www.kensitas-silkflowers.co.uk/
I've recently seen them used in a crazy quilt so I may use one or two - though it's nice to have them in their original little folders.
