My friend has a collection...small one but bloody damn good.

Dr. Phil Nudelman and his wife, Sandra, recently donated a one-of-a-kind collection of more than 100,000 shells to the Burke Museum. It's not only incredibly beautiful but also holds great research value. Read more on our blog: bit.ly/12YJQeS

An accumulation of both foreign & domestic Milla Jovovich magazine ephemera I have been actively snipping & saving for more than half my life. Since 1988 to be precise. This woman is Epic, and about the only girl, aside from Drew, my heart beats twice as fast for (at least collecting-wise).

I've been going through all my clipping collections lately and decided it'd be a fun to digitally shoot them for convenience sake. No more having to rifle through piles and piles of stuff to see what I have.

Inamorata Obiage Collection consists of 6 silk robes hand stitched from antique obiage kimono accessories. All the robes were reserved last week, but the two tanned OOAK dolls modelling the mauve and ombre robes are for sale. Email me if interested (emiliacouture@gmail.com).

*Obiage (帯揚げ, "obi bustle") is a scarf-like length of cloth worn above the obi. Though it functions as decoration, it may also function to cover the obimakura (pillow like padding) and keep the upper part of the obi knot in place. The obiage can be worn by women at any age, with it being custom to show more of the obiage the younger one is. It can be decorated in a variety of different ways, and is commonly dyed using the the kanoko shibori knot dye technique. Obiage date back to Edo period and were worn by geisha and maiko. In away obiage is considered an undergarment, and it's beauty is mostly hidden. The amount of this pop of colour shown indicates marital status of the wearer and showing more is seen as kind of risqué. Making a robe out of this feels sensuous and I love to show the craftsmanship of the texture in all its glory.

Visitor displays sunstones found at the Sunstone Collection Area, Oct. 16, 2017, by Greg Shine, BLM.

The Oregon Sunstone Public Collection Area allows visitors to enjoy collecting these rare and beautiful gems in their natural setting. The boundaries of the collection area are marked by orange plastic posts and corners are marked with large Bureau of Land Management triangles on wooden posts. Sunstone is located in the remote Rabbit Basin and due to its isolated location rock hounds visiting the area should be well prepared.

The only facilities available at the site are a vault toilet, picnic tables, and shade structures. You are welcome to camp anywhere within the Sunstone Collection Area. There is no fee for collecting sunstones, but you may not collect for trade or commercial purposes.

My music collection. Yeah, I still buy CDs. Missing from this are my boxed sets, the numerous albums that don't fit, and the Blacktail album with styrofoam on it ("Styrofoam Island", get it?).

The Wallace has a fine collection of French furniture. This is just part of the inlaid top of a rolltop desk. It was made in France in 1770 by Jean-Henri Riesener from oak, with the inlay composed of holly, walnut, ebony, box, sycamore, amaranth and mahogany.

I started collecting barbie dolls on 3-24-09 and this is my collection so far. (I forgot to get a pic of my Barbie then and now doll but, I'll have it posted soon.)

This collection of windows awaits installation at one of Toronto's West Donlands building projects. It must be worth a lot. I know. Several years ago we replaced all the windows in our century home and the job didn't come cheap.

Incidentally, from time to time I reflect on the miracle of windows. For most of mankind's history we didn't have glass windows to let in the light and keep out the weather. Thank goodness for glass.

The teal Kimono - I was so happy when I found this fabric at my local fabric store. It's rare and its colors are so beautiful! Love this pattern, too, though I'm asking myself what it actually depictures *lol*.

As you can see I had lots of fun dressing the dolls in it and I love to pair it with either blue tones or brown ones.

Dear friends,

the warmer days have begun and summer feelings are back : ). Time to show you my new fashion collection! I’m still in love with the Boho fashion trend and you’ll find lots of lovely designs, including two of my favourite pieces, two Kimono jackets!

As always, I try to make fashions that are highly compatible with fashions you already have, so you’ll find cute shorts and fantastic shirts, too. I’d love to hear which designs are your favorites ; )!

And for the first time, I’m offering Fashions for the Curvy Barbie body – modelled by my adorable Luna.

May all your summer days be sunny and your spirits stay wild and free…

Part of my peculiar collection of bank items : )

Clockwise from upper left:

A Royal Bank of Scotland piggy bank (money box).

Representing the Netherlands (Nederland), an ABN AMRO Bank cufflink.

Represening Canada, a Bank of Nova Scotia gold coin.

A Deutsche Bank golf ball.

Representing England, a Barclays Bank humour pen.

A Swiss Bank Corporation silver bar.

Representing France, a model car with Crédit Lyonnais advertising.

Representing England and Hong Kong, a Midland Bank bone china thimble with HSBC's logo*.

* HSBC bought Midland Bank between 1987 and 1992. Between 1992 and 2003 or so, Midland Bank briefly used HSBC's logo, after which all HSBC's subsidiary banks around the world were renamed HSBC, sadly eliminating the historic Midland Bank name.

I have a collection of lovely stamps, and wanted a way I could see them every day.
