i'm finally off on a Sunday & can contribute to the tumblr tag again finally! Just in time for my first #noshamesunday & everyone's posting collections, so might as well post an update. Literally out of space, 10 cases deep, a bunch not even opened/displayed yet. Time to expand yet again. @.@ Pardon the mess, still have to straighten some shelves up. enjoy my OCD/collection & happy no shame Sunday!
A collection of Dash 8's....
CN 2031 leads the south bound L532 freight over the WABIC Diamonds in Decatur, Illinois on a cloudy Saturday evening. Note the FRED hanging off the front of the 2031.
Locomotives: CN 2031, CN 2155, & GECX 7676.
- CN 2031 started life as CNW 8532, which later became UP 9054.
- CN 2155 started life as ATSF 840, which later became BNSF 840 and sold to the CN around 2010.
- GECX 7676 still wears the CSX YN2 paint scheme and original number, built in '91 for the CSX.

This is a typical sight in most of the museums - a guard viewing his cell phone completely oblivious to his surroundings. One day a few years ago when I was in the Correr Museum an older guard was even sleeping in his chair for the whole time I was in the area he was supposedly guarding. In Palazzo Grimani one year there was only one guard in the whole museum and he was in a corner in one of the rooms looking at his cell phone.
I never thought I will love monochrome minifigures this much :D But when I realised I knew I have to make a full collection of them :D

High Peak Buses: 536 (YX72 ONM) an Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 MMC, painted in the current version of Skyline livery. This vehicle is captured here in Stockport Interchange waiting to continue its journey on service 199 to Buxton.

The hôtel de la Marine (also known as the hôtel du Garde-Meuble) is an historic building located on place de la Concorde in Paris, to the east of rue Royale. It was designed and built between 1757 and 1774 by the architect Ange-Jacques Gabriel, on the newly created square first called Place Louis XV. The identical building to its west, constructed at the same time, now houses the hôtel de Crillon and the Automobile Club of France.
The Hôtel de la Marine was originally the home of the royal Garde-Meuble, the office managing the furnishing of all royal properties. Following the French Revolution it became the Ministry of the French Navy, which occupied it until 2015. It was entirely renovated between 2015 and 2021.
It now displays the restored 18th century apartments of Marc-Antoine Thierry de Ville-d'Avray, the King's Intendant of the Garde-Meuble, as well the salons and chambers later used by the French Navy.
A separate part displays the Al Thani Collection presenting international and inter-cultural works of art from the collection of Sheik Hamad bin Abdullah Al Thani.

What is a Honda fanboy doing in a Toyota museum?
I actually love Toyota's. My second car (my first car was a Honda Jazz/ City) was a 1990 Daihatsu Charade with 1.3 EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) engine sourced from Toyota. The car was only 800kg and had 90hp and you could rev it till 7000rpm.
