The accumulation of combustible material for urban Halloween bonfires in Dublin is known colloquially as "Collecting" – There is an unspoken fashion code amongst young Dubliners for re-purposed attire that's known as "Collecting gear".

This is a scan of an original kodachrome slide. It was scanned with an Epson Pro V750, and finished up with very minor post processing work in Photoshop. The default size of this image is 2000x1250 pixels.

The original comes from my own slide collection, which contains both my own photos and those acquired over the past forty or so years collecting.
I began uploading photos into this Flickr photostream to create a home for the slides that have been part of my collection. They deserve to be enjoyed by the aircraft enthusiast community as a whole rather than being tucked away in boxes and binders. Think of it like an old time aircraft slide show but for the 21st century.
Comments are welcome.

Jean PUY
(Roanne, 1876 - Roanne, 1960)
Le hamac à Saint-Alban
ou Repos dans le hamac
vers 1904
Jean Puy often visited his parents' home in Saint-Alban-les-Eaux. In this canvas, he depicts his younger sisters. Framed by the vertical trunks of two trees, the rigid composition is Split by the hammock, made of Bayadere cloth with wide, multicoloured stripes. The colour harmony of bright reds and greens is reflected in the hills and the dress of the standing sister, Marguerite, while contrasting with the black-and-white dress of Madeleine, pictured leaning sideways in the hammock.

This 600mm system close to banks of the River Elbe north west of Hamburg is one of six narrow gauge systems I had the pleasure of discovering in the good company of Kingmoor Klick. Not only are the survivors fascinating systems but we were made very welcome by the operators.
Thank you to all for your comments, faves, notes and expos!.-

Queens, males, workers and larvae require vitamin B complex and vitamin C for proper growth and development. Honey bees also collect proteins from plant pollen, which they bring back to their nest. Male honey bees obtain protein from the secretions of young workers combined with honey or pollen. Queens and honey bee larvae collect their protein requirements from royal jelly secreted by those same young workers.
As young honey bees mature, their need for protein decreases and they depend upon carbohydrates and sugar, or lipids, for the majority of their diet. Honey and nectar collected by bees contains both sugar and carbohydrates, which produce energy. This energy is converted to body fat and is stored for future use during cold weather.
Honey bees obtain necessary vitamins from royal jelly, pollen and various microorganisms within the hive. If worker bees collect and store significant amounts of pollen, a colony has no need to seek out alternate protein sources.
