Farmer collecting silage (winter feed for cattle) on Cleadon Hills, North East England. The remains of an abandoned windmill are to the right.
Brian (left) is Mr Unflappable. Throw any problem at him, he'll solve it and move on. Sarah (right) keeps rats as pets and taught me the latest school insult (basically describing your mother as someone who works at Matalan on minimum wage).
The ice and snow that were coming down all week while the roofers were here started melting and freeing all the nails, screws, etc that their big magnet couldn’t pick up. (I don’t blame them - nothing’s gonna work with stuff that’s encased in several inches of ice!!)

I'm forever telling the people who ask me for advice on how to take better photographs that they should look at the efforts of others!
One of the advantage, and pleasures of flickr.com is that you can look at the work of other members to see their pictures, and then, if you like the picture enough, you can add it to your list of favourites.
So this album is a collection of my own favourites but made through a screenshot into a collage. To view each picture individually will require you to magnify the image.
I hope the originators of each of the photographs don't object to that. (I'm sure most will be flattered that I've taken the time to promote their pictures, but also sure that the odd one or two may object to their work being shown in this way. If that's the case then I apologise now!)
From time to time I will add to this album and collection with other screenshots of my own personal favourites. So do look back to see what I've added from time to time.
Anyone who does come across them, I hope it does give you inspiration.
In my humble opinion I think that showcasing their work is going to be inspirational to some of you.
Personally I do enjoy a wide variety of subject matter; people, street photography, colourful objects, interiors, landscapes, portraits, nature, animals of all kinds and a host of other topics too.
One thing I do urge members to do is to NAME their pictures! I do get tired of seeing pictures that simply adopt the file name. It strikes me a being a little bit lazy.
And writing a description is also useful though not essential. But a few words on a picture helps the viewer put the work into some form of context.
