Waterfront Cold Storage; Established 2017. Nice looking logo.

Across the street is the former Fisher Body plant #10, which supplied automobile components.

The Central Cold Storage

as seen from the spring garden station on the el. add it together with this.

I recently went to see how 1312 was coming along since the fire and ran into six squaddies (only three are visible here) detaining two people. Six cars; one of them purposefully blocking a lane of traffic. Six. For two people.

But hey... building's on the mend.

No one at the office had tried their hand at the papercraft project in the newsletter so I made an oversized one (took the 8.5"x11" template and resized it for 11"x17") with a li'l lamprey action. This should get their imaginations running, one way or another.

Towering over Lake Street for over a century.

I had a hell of a time opening the door to this room. It was frozen shut.

This freezer is probably older than most that will visit this page. :D

It was already old when I started working at this company 26 years ago.

Trucks filled of potato's at Cold Storage.

If there is no direct customer of potato's it goes to cold storage otherwise it goes straight to the warehouse of the customer(Dallal).

Digging it out of the land using digger.

When a lobsterman returns from checking his or her traps they store their catch in a box called a lobster car. This is attached to a buoy in the cove or harbor where their boats are moored. When they have enough to take to market they haul them in and take them to a buyer or a lobster pound. Note the gull that has landed on the bow of the boat looking for a hand out.

After removing the glob of snot that was hot glue, we confirmed that all of the "repairs" done prior to shipping the thing back did not involve any solder whatsoever. They also obliterated a few cap pads in whatever it was they were doing.

Seems like a certain green giant has gotten to the Cold Storage building...

Succumbed to cravings, we had a sashimi fix despite subway sandwiches for dinner. Its really convenient at Parkway as the subway deli is just sandwiched (no pun intended!) between Sakuraya Fish Market and Cold Storage.
