Mercedes introduced the C-Class Sport CoupƩ (codenamed "Peanut" ver. CL203) to Europe in October 2000 as a three-door hatchback coupe, based on the regular W203 C-Class range. North American sales began in 2001 for the 2002 model year.
Whereas the C-Class sedan and wagon had the traditional Mercedes horizontal bar grille with the hood ornament, the Sport CoupƩ had a star-grille front end giving it a sportier look. The Sport CoupƩ also had a fastback roofline, an optional panoramic sunroof, and a functional rear spoiler to provide downforce at high speeds. The Sport CoupƩ was seven inches (178 mm) shorter overall than the sedan, while sharing the same wheelbase length.
The C 230 Sport CoupĆ© was powered by a 2.3-litre supercharged, four-cylinder motor (M111) with output of 143 kW (192 hp) and 281 Nā m (207 lbā ft) of torque, which was more powerful than the C 240 sedan's 175 PS (129 kW; 173 hp) V6 engine, although the M111 was coarse and noisy at the high end. In 2003 the M111 was replaced with a quieter and more efficient DOHC supercharged 1.8 litre four-cylinder engine (M271).

The Type 054A (NATO codename Jiangkai II) frigate is a class of Chinese multi-role frigates, the first of which entered service with the People's Liberation Army Navy Surface Force in 2007. The class is planned to comprise 24+ vessels. As of 2016, 22 are in service, 1 is fitting out, and 2 are under construction. It is a development of the Type 054 frigate, using the same hull but with improved sensors and weapons.
The Type 054A carries HQ-16 medium-range air defence missiles and various anti submarine rockets in a VLS system. The HQ-16 provides area air defence from all engagement angles up to a range of 50 km, a considerable improvement over the HQ-7 carried on the Type 054 which have inferior range and limited engagement angles. Contrary to HQ-9 VLS on Type 052C destroyer which adopts a cold launch method, HQ-16 appears to adopt a hot launch method instead, with the same design principle of US Mk 41 VLS: a shared common exhaust system is sited between the two rows of rectangular launching tubes.The VLS system is also capable of firing anti-submarine missiles.
The 4 AK-630 close-in weapon systems (CIWS) of the Type 054 were replaced with 2 Type 730 CIWS on the Type 054A. The autonomous Type 730 provides improved reaction time against close-in threats.

Hundreds of Filipino were dead and thousands were rendered homeless when Tropical Storm Ondoy (international codename: Ketsana) ravaged most parts of Metro Manila, especially its eastern part, and nearby regions. President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo declared the whole country under state of calamity as
another super typhoon threatens to bring more devastation to the still-suffering nation.
A week after the typhoon, some roads were still covered with thick mud and some villages and streets were still underwater. People who were badly affected are still staying in nearby public schools that were converted into evacuation centers, surviving on releif goods being rationed by the government and other organizations. Classes in all levels have been suspended for a week. According to the National Disaster Coordinating Council, Ondoy caused an estimated P4.8 billion, P3.6 billion of which comes from the agriculture sector.

The NMA commemorates the 75th Anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy
Today, Thursday 6th June 2019 The Duke of Cambridge, HRH Prince William attended a service of Remembrance at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire for the 75th anniversary of the D-Day Landings and the battle of Normandy.
Joined by Veterans, members and families of those who served as part of Operation Overlord (the Allied invasion of Normandy during World War Two), gathered at the National Memorial Arboretum, for a service of remembrance and wreath laying ceremony led by the Honorary Arboretum Chaplains. The service began in the Heroes Square culminating with an Act of Remembrance and 2-minute silence.
After the service the Normandy Veterans, invited dignitaries and school children led by Standard Bearers processed from Heroes Square to the Normandy Campaign Memorial to conduct a wreath laying ceremony, returning on completion to Heroes Square where they viewed a live BBC link-up with ceremonies and events in Normandy, France.
Held annually on the 6th June in partnership with The Royal British Legion, Veterans and families take the opportunity to celebrate peace, liberty, reconciliation and to honour and remember those many heroes who lost their lives.
Normandy Veterans and recipients of the LĆ©gion dāhonneur, said: āwe remember the chaos and the noise, those memories will remain with us forever, bodies were strewn across the beach when we arrived, so many lives lost, it is impossible to truly comprehend what it was like to be there as young men without having experienced it first-hand.ā
Operation āOver Lordā was the code name for the Normandy landings, known as āDā-Day 6th June 1944, was the largest seaborne invasion in the history of warfare. The amphibious assault was preceded by the deployment of 24,000 British, American, and Canadian airborne troops, who landed behind enemy lines using parachutes or inside gigantic gliders. 156,000 Allied troops stormed onto the beaches in five landing zones to fierce resistance from the German forces, resulting in over 10,000 casualties with 4,414 confirmed dead.
The design of the 30ft Normandy campaign memorial, created by sculptor Ian Stewart, is based on the geographical undulations of the Normandy coastline as seen offshore and is constructed from granite to represent the severity of the task facing the invasion force. The memorial also incorporates five boulders, each representing one of the codenamed beaches on which the landings took place ā Utah, Gold, Omaha, Juno and Sword.

DongFeng 15 (Export name: M-9; NATO codename: CSS-6, Chinese: East Wind 15), a Short-Range Ballistic Missile, is the only non-nuclear missile in service with the PLA Second Artillery Corps (i.e. strategic missile force).
The missile shown here is most probably a DongFeng15B, which is fitted with four small fins at midsection for corrections at the final phase of the flight.

The Type 908 (NATO reporting name Fusu-class, also known as Nancang-class) replenishment ship is a class of multi-product replenishment oilers commissioned into the People's Liberation Army Navy and the Royal Thai Navy. The first Type 908 replenishment ship, Qinghaihu, was originally laid down for the Soviet Navy as a Komandarn Fedko class merchant tanker, but construction was halted due to insufficient funds. The ship was then purchased by China as an incomplete vessel in 1993 from post-Soviet Ukraine. The ship has a near sister ship (INS Jyoti (A58)) operating with the Indian Navy. After significant refit, the ship was consecutively renamed the Qinghaihu (885), formerly ex Nancang (Nanyun 953) and ex-Vladimir Peregudov . Another similar ship was built and sold to Thailand and currently in service with the Royal Thai Navy as HTMS Similan (871).
The Type 908 AOR is the 2nd generation Chinese replenishment ship that is outfitted with a total of six cranes, four oil refuelling stations, and two stores stations. This allows the ship to replenish three warships simultaneously. The ship, through her helicopter facilities, is able to replenish warships operating nearby via vertical replenishment (VERTREP).

"Scud"is the codename for a series of tactical ballistic missiles based on a late 1950s Soviet Union design. The mass-produced R-17 Elbrus "Scud-B" went into service in 1964. It can carry a payload of a thermonuclear, chemical, or conventional warhead to a range of over 180 miles. "Scud-Bs" are usually loaded on a Transporter Erector Launcher (TEL) vehicle allowing the missile and its launch system to be quickly relocated. After arriving at a new location, a "Scud" can be readied for launch in 60 to 90 minutes. With around 7,000 built "Scud-Bs"were used by over 30 countries and saw combat in several wars, Several countries continue to use "Scud-Bs" or foreign built versions of the missile.
During Operation Desert Storm the Iraqi Military deployed Soviet built "Scud-B" missiles and Iraqi produced Al-Hussein, and Al-Hijarah versions of the "Scud-B" design. During the war Iraq launched a total of 88 "Scuds" at targets in Israel and Saudi Arabia. One struck a U.S. Army barracks in Dharan, Saudi Arabia killing 28 American soldiers. Coalition Forces committed 40 percent of their aerial assets to finding and destroying mobile "Scud" launchers. The launchers and missiles were well hidden and only a few were found, and fewer were destroyed.

Subaru Impreza New Age WRX STi 2001.
Codenamed MY01, the 2001 SUBARU Impreza WRX STi with 4 sylinder turbocharged Boxer engine retains the previous model's power output of 280 bhp, but torque has been increased by 20Nm to 373Nm and total weight has increased by 160 Kilos. A stiffer chassis, less body roll and less understeer make the new STi a more complete car, even if it is no quicker than the old model. Externally, the STi is Differentiated by wider gold colored 17" wheels wth 326 mm Brembo front brakes, a larger bonnet air scoop, the STilogo on the fog lamp cover and clear free from quad headlights integrated with the indicators. It is also the first Subaru to have fitted the all new 6 speed gearbox that has been developed in house. The car can accelerate from 0-100 Km/j in just over 5 seconds.

ANYWAYS, this is my entrant for the Scribbler's Codename Contest. I'm pretty psyched about it, because it looks like a really well organised contest!
As for Draven here, not so much editing. I re-did his lips and shaded the hell out of it, but that's about it. I did enough editing with the CC for this guy without remaking it in drawing! I turned the outfit into a shirt only (granted, pretty easy), remade the pants you can't even see ><, recolored and alpha edited the hair, added a lip scar and a tattoo on his eye.
At first he was supposed to have a red/black cross target replacing his left eye, but I found it a little too much like something I'd seen in movies before (though I still can't remember which).
