This is a face I make when a camper hiding behind a wall I walk around knifes me in the back...damn campers
I'd also like to add that this sweater vest was hand knitted by my girlfriends grandmother!

when people learn that odin loves to start his day with a serving of cod liver oil mixed with juice, we usually get quizzical looks - people still give their kids that icky stuff that grandmothers used to force down the gullets of their kids?
maybe grandma was on to something. cod liver oil is a fantastic source of omega fatty acids which research has shown to be important for brain development.
and even more interestingly for us, babies born before 33 weeks gestation have insufficient levels of DHA and fish oil for preemies may boost cognition.
carlson makes odin's con liver oil of choice and is tested to be free of detectable levels of mercury, cadmium, lead and PCB's
if you ask him, he really will tell you that it tastes pretty darned good.
and, of course, it's perfectly perfect that odin's favorite cod liver oil would be norwegian :-)
Is this a cod I see before me?

Cod with tomato, cucumber and greens. This entrée serves 2, and was divided into halves: with skin, and without (shown here).
An American Bald Eagle taken on January 30th 2011 at Mashpee -Wakeby Lake, Cape Cod. Seeing this magnificent bird in the wild on Cape Cod is an indescribable thrill.
Cod head cooked in chicken stock with dulse. Served with potato salad and lots of lovage. “The Little Cook Book for Genteel Housekeepers” from 1800 details two types of courses. Expensive materials are used for respectable people while the cheaper materials are cooked for the unseemly. But the cheaper materials are best when treated with love and care.

The possibility to cook the cod in very low temperature without adding even salt and retaining all its amazing flavour makes this one of my favourites fishes.

Standard studio shot "just for the record" before hitting the road for shots in the Virginia countryside.
I wanted to include at least one here for mom and dad to view.

Strobist:
Three light setup.
Overhead ABR800 ringflash with the 30" moon unit, angled down about 45 degrees and fairly close.
For rim I used twin beauty dishes, with 20 degree grids.
I eventually want to replace the ABR800 in this setup with a PLM and front diffuser panel, but for now, the moon unit acts as a somewhat effective softbox/octobox but pulls double duty in its primary purpose, the best ringflash ever...and one I'll never sell or trade.
