COCK by Mike Bartlett is a theatre production presented by Buds Theatre Company and directed by Rayann Condy. It had shown at Singapore DRAMA CENTRE, BLACK BOX at 10 -12 MAY 2012.
My team and I had involved creating the projections mapping visual effects for the transitions during the play. The concept for the visual was based on the idea that the set reflects the john’s mind, the protagonist of the play, in the style of wire frame, with waves signifying the passing of time and explodes and implodes representing sexual activity and so on. All the visual effects are done by using open source software called Processing.

The latest installation on Trafalgar Square's fourth plinth, the sculpture was unveiled July 2013 and will remain in place for 18 months.
On its selection, the the Fourth Plinth Commissioning Group, stated in a press release:
The sculpture ... communicates on different levels. First of all is the consideration of the formal aspect of its placement: the mostly grey architecture of Trafalgar Square would receive an unexpectedly strong colour accentuation, the size and colour of the animal making the whole situation surreal or simply unusual. The cockerel is also a symbol for regeneration, awakening and strength and finally, the work refers, in an ironic way, to male-defined British society and thoughts about biological determinism.

4th Plinth, Trafalgar Square, London
The new Fourth Plinth commission, Hahn/Cock by Katharina Fritsch was unveiled on 25 July 2013 in London’s Trafalgar Square. Commissioned by the Mayor as part of the Fourth Plinth programme, Hahn/Cock is a 4.72m high rendition of a domestic farmyard cockerel saturated in intense ultramarine blue.
Katharina Fritsch is one of Germany’s leading contemporary artists. Born in Essen, Fritsch studied at the Kunstakademie in Dusseldorf and has exhibited widely across Europe, Japan and the USA. She represented Germany at the 1995 Venice Biennale and has been the subject of exhibitions at DIA Centre for the Arts, New York, the San Francisco Museum of Contemporary Art, Tate Modern, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, and K21, Duesseldorf. The Watercock Gallicrex cinerea is a waterbird in the rail and crake family Rallidae. It is the only member of the genus Gallicrex. Their breeding habitat is swamps across south Asia from India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka to south China, Japan and Indonesia. They nest in a dry location on the ground in marsh vegetation, laying 3-6 eggs. These large rails are mainly permanent residents throughout their range.
The body of this rail is flattened laterally to allow easier passage through the reeds or undergrowth. It has long toes and a short tail. Female birds are smaller at 36 cm, and are dark brown above and paler below. the plumage is streaked and barred with darker markings. The bill is yellow and the legs are green. The downy chicks are black, as with all rails. Watercock are quite secretive, but are sometimes seen out in the open. They are noisy birds, especially at dawn and dusk, with a loud, gulping call.

Physical characteristics
The Sanderling is a small, light-colored sandpiper with a straight, black bill and black legs. The male and female look similar. In breeding plumage, it has a rufous head and neck and a rufous wash that extends onto its back. In non-breeding plumage, the adult is white underneath and very pale gray above while the juveniles are white underneath with a dark and light mottled top. Late-molters, Sanderlings don't reach their breeding plumage until late May. This is the only sandpiper that lacks a hind toe, which allows it to be a strong runner.
Sanderlings flock, and members of different flocks interchange freely. The quintessential surf-dodger, the Sanderling is most recognized for its behavior of running down to the water's edge with an outgoing wave, and racing back up the beach to avoid the next incoming wave. Dunlins and Western Sandpipers also do this, so this behavior is not diagnostic. They feed by probing, and leave bands of holes along a beach where they have stuck their beaks into the sand probing for food. They also feed in tire tracks. When roosting, they usually stand on one leg, and if disturbed, they will hop away from the disturbance on one leg.
Habitat
Sanderlings breed farther north than any of the shorebirds found in Washington, nesting in dry, rocky tundra on the land closest to the North Pole. In winter and during migration, they inhabit broad, coastal beaches with light-colored sand. They can also be found on gravelly and rocky beaches and mudflats, and on top of kelp beds. In the fall, adults dominate the optimal habitats, and juveniles take the remaining spots.

Calidris alba breeds in the high Arctic in northern Greenland and Svalbard, with Europe accounting for less than a quarter of its global breeding range. Its European breeding population is relatively small (<50,000 pairs), but was stable between 1970- 1990. Although the trend of the stronghold population in Greenland during 1990-2000 was unknown, there was no evidence to suggest that the species's status deteriorated since 1990, and the European wintering population increased markedly during this period.

Feeding
Sanderlings dine on a variety of aquatic invertebrates and sometimes carrion. One study identified young razor clams as a major source of food on the Washington coast.
Breeding
Sanderlings nest on the dry, northern tundra, often close to lakes or ponds. The nest is on the ground, often on an elevated spot out in the open. The nest is a shallow scrape lined with leaves. The female generally lays two clutches, and either two males, or one male and the female herself, each incubate a clutch of four eggs. If the female has two males incubating the eggs, she will depart. If she is incubating a clutch, she will stay with the young, which hatch after 24 to 31 days, until they fledge at about 17 days. Males also stay with the young, which leave the nest and can feed themselves immediately after hatching.
