We said wed never have a dog, I always wanted one for a walking companion on my adventures, but the wife is very house proud and didn't want a dog that shed hair or smelt of "dog" so for years and years we had always said no.

At the end of COVID, a friend of the family was selling a litter of Cockapoo's and one puppy was remaining.

So, after much deliberation and discussion, we went to have a look... It is the worst thing you can ever do, we fell in love instantly!

We ended up buying her on the spot without telling our two daughters and after a week or so we took her home, two ecstatic girls and I have to say it's the best thing I've ever done.

She now goes everywhere with me, love her to bits and I can't imagine being without her

My son is looking after this little Cockapoo a very much home loving little bundle of joy. He does not keep still very long, too busy woof woofing!!!!

I can't remember what AC was telling or showing Toby . . . it was only two days ago when I took this picture and see how easily I forget . . . The hubs had given Toby a bath so he's as white as can be for now . . . until he rolls in the dirt. ;-)

Wanna pet Toby?

Thank you all for commenting and favouring my images it is very much appreciated.

When we sold up and moved north, we fully expected Darcy to be living with us. Sadly that was not to be and she died shortly before we moved. Her loss was devastating for all of us, she had been such a part of the family. The memories of her are so strong and hard for us to live with. We knew she would be irreplaceable.

But along with a new grandaughter we have a new pup, just eight weeks old. She's called Effie and is a Cockapoo. (Cocker Spaniel/Poodle). We've had her just two days and already she is bouncing about as if she owns the place. I can't wait to take her on walks, but she needs another batch of vaccinations first. And then we will go exploring in the wilds of the back o'beyond
