This is Teddy and best buddy Eddy, both cockapoos (what a name eh!). We coaxed them with titbits of meat into the centre of the tree trunks. Eddy in full frame with Teddy squeezing through to get his treat.
Meet gorgeous Teddy, he is our neighbours' Ana & Steve's 9 month cockapoo. I joined them on a walk to the bluebell woods today where we met his best buddy Eddy, I shall post a pic of them both later.
We took a walk way up into the hills. Head down, heading up the rough track I was slow to notice seven red deer watching me from just 100 yards away. Effie emerged from a ditch, face covered in black mud. It was enough to make the deer turn and flee, somewhat to Effie's bemusement. What had she done?
Back home, she was dumped in the bath. There might be a water shortage in some places, but no way was I sharing
Effie. Bluebells are all the rage so I thought I would try to get a nice shot amongst the nice clumps we have in the bottom of the garden. And then along comes you-know-who, who dives in amongst them, and decapitates several with her sharp little teeth whilst trampling the rest. Doesn't she look like trouble? 13 week old cockapoo pup.
... not one of my best photos of this bundle of fun, but he looks really cute. His name is Teddy.

Her poodle fluff is soft as cotton wool, her puppy teeth sharp as needles. She's got a quick brain but acts like a rampaging maniac. Full of fun and energy. That's Effie the merle cockapoo pup.

Last night, I went out. I wasn't late...I didn't get rat-arsed I didn't make much noise when I came in. But it had been raining, and I went, digging some holes. And tip-toed back into the house. I have no idea how black footprints, looking remarkably like they might have been mine, appeared on the floor in a continuous line from the back door, through the kitchen, and across the hall and into the sitting room. I also have no idea how the Bed & Breakfast guests shoes, left at the bottom of the stairs, may have fallen into my mouth and I may have used them to soothe my puppy teeth, chewing on them. But I am sorry I was still wet from my bath when I crawled into bed with you and snozzled my damp nose up under your right ear to whisper Good night. Although I know now you quite like the delicate fragrance of doggy Bugalugs 4 in 1 Lavender & Camomile shampoo.

Sheep need training that not all fluffy white animals are baby sheep. Dog needs training that sheep are no fun to play with.
A nightmare to photograph: she just won't stay still! Here she was, looking for seashells up on a rocky outcrop half a mile from the sea, to crunch up in her mouth! A mischievous monkey she is. Beautiful (when clean) with her unusual Cockapoo merle colouring. Adorable. But.......when she's still wet and has wriggled down the bed to rest her cold nose too close to my naked bottom (sorry if that's TMI)........Effie, get out!
8 months old. Still a pup.
A visitor to the studio space recently was Nelly, who apart from chewing my hand playfully, was very well behaved.
A wee break from Wildlife pics - These are my sons Cockapoos I am dog sitting them for 2 weeks while he is on holiday - never a dull moment!
Headshot portrait of a Cockapoo called Crumble. Taken with a Canon 5D4 and a 50mm lens at a wide aperture, converted to black and white in Lightroom.
This is the other baby in the family: Effie the cockapoo. Barely six months old and her coat had grown so long, roughly three inches long all over. Being mainly white she looked more like a sheep than a wolf. So much so that when a couple passed us and asked what breed she was, I suggested Effie was a young and somewhat rare St Andrew's sheep, and they didn't seem to question my reply. But we hadn't been prepared for the problem of finding a groomer since little Darcy died. We tried a groomer in Strontian?. No. Too busy. Arisaig?, Nope, not taking on new clients. Fort William?, sorry, only existing customers. Oban? No, again, and all blamed on Brexit....err sorry, I mean Covid. Apparently more people have adopted dogs into the lives since the start of covid, meaning there is now an acute shortage of groomers, which must be down to brexit, surely? It was suggested we might have to look for a groomer in Inverness, three hours away, although it was expected the answer would be the same.
In the end we got her into Darcy's groomer (as we were previous customers) but it meant a drive of 442 miles back to Congleton to get her groomed, a round trip of almost 900 miles.
We had no idea Effie had such luscious eyelashes, almost two inches long, until the groomer discovered them under all her 'wool'. Now she looks extra gorgeous, as well as being extra mischievious. She just loves to chew up a used, and discarded disposable nappy.
