My third day in the Lake District had been planned as a long walk from Honister up to Great Gable and a number of its surrounding peaks. The atrocious weather made me think twice and I chose an easier walk over safer ground in the Northern Fells, a circular walk peaking at Great Sca Fell. The first peak on the route was (and I'm really not kidding here) Great Cockup. You pass Little Cockup on the way, and Cockup itself is close by. The wind and rain up here was something else. I was stood on the straps of my 65/85 Litre backpack to stop it blowing away. The waterproof cover had been blown off and was attached solely by one piece of elastic and was now functioning as a parachute... I gave up on it and shoved it back into it's little compartment in the bag.
This is the view from the real summit of Great Cockup towards a cairn that my newly acquired GPS toy had recently told me wasn't the real summit at all. The peaks just to the left of the cairn is Little Cockup and the one on the right is Binsey.

Well I’ve been a bit slack of late with updates IRT to build, with what NZ Election, AB’s back on the giggle box and a few cockups with the Ark.
It was going to plan with this, but main mast fell apart while I was painting it and trying to reassemble the mast was a pain in the ass.
Anyway it’s finally fixed with today I’ve put the decals on which went ok, until I review the pictures I took today and I realised the markings for port catapult are not straight. Oh well, how sad never mind.
Tomorrow will be some rigging and fitting of the hockey sticks.
Here is my wife climbing up through the narrow pass known as Trusmadoor. This path gives access to the numerous small hills at the back of Skiddaw, an area of peace and quiet, with few other walkers to be seen. To the left is Great Cockup and to the right, Meal Fell.
Can't tell the difference between P Diddy and Pete Doherty, end up calling Diddy a crackhead. Nice work, guys.

This was taken during the secondt half of Ramadhan in Al Rashed Mall in Khobar. Women weren't allowed to enter this music store unaccompanied during the first half of the month but when we came back a couple of weeks later... They weren't allowed to enter.. PERIOD!!! WTH?
Just one day after the previous photograph, only a couple of miles apart and not much lower - a typical example of how our weather can change (at any time of year).
A great walk - Great Cockup, Meal Fell, Great Sca Fell, Knott, back to Great Sca Fell, on to Little Sca Fell, Brae Fell, Longlands Fell then back down to the cars at Longlands. (These Sca Fells not to be confused with the much higher Scafell and Scafell Pike!)
there was a bit of a cockup with the dj and the first dance didn't happen for some time. the official photographer had left by this point so i was glad to be able to capture this moment for them.

This is one of those classic examples of the DVLA cockups. First registered here in 2000, so most likely issued a 2000 plate, and then personal registration of P was acceptable to spell Porka.

We both had this. This was good as the fish was very fresh. However, there was a bit of a cockup in terms of what Mirna got (only 2 of these 3 fishes).
