This is a sample from www.ceramikoat.com that has had the finish scraped and then soaked in salt water for 3 days. There's no visibly detectible rust in the scratches.

This is my wife's daily driver. It's an all steel 1934 Ford Pickup. Has a 350 Chevy motor and 350 Turbo transmission, in dash A/C, power steering, power brakes. Had the valvecovers machined out of solid aluminum block with the early Ford script and V8 logo on them. Again just to mess with the Ford guys! The headers, Flowmaster mufflers and exhaust pipes were all coated by the guys in Okla. City. - Fuzzy

After a brief hiatus of a week of work on the "real" job, and a trip to Port Townsend to help Keith launch (and sail) Zephyr, we got back to the build at our place on Cowichan Lake!
Both stringers need to be epoxy coated and fiberglassed for strength and water protection. It's much easier to do here than later on the boat.
The LVL was quite rough so I smoothed them out first with thickened epoxy.
The HDPS is capable of performing complex heat treatments on sheet steel in controlled atmospheres before dipping in a bath of molten zinc alloy.
The HDPS allows us to investigate the interactions between the steel substrate and the coating before making changes in order to improve the final product. We are able to alter the chemistry of the bath to investigate the role of micro-additions on the microstructure and corrosion resistance of coatings.
This is the only HDPS in a European University and was built to our specification.

Kevin Golovin, a graduate student in materials science and engineering at U-M, demonstrates a new rubbery material that can create ice repelling, or "icephobic," coatings on a variety of materials, such as windshields or ship hulls. The research is being done under the direction of Anish Tuteja, an associate professor in U-M's Department of Materials Science & Engineering.

It has a 6.2L LS3 with a 6 speed manual trans. shifted with a Barton Industries short throw. It has Dynatech headers with Dynatech High Flow Cats, and Flowmaster Outlaw catback system all coated with Jet Hot Coatings. The brakes have been upgraded with Granatelli drilled and slotted rotors, Hawk performance pads, and MTI stainless braided lines. The car also features a BWoody Cold air intake, and a Hypertech max energy programmer. All this equates to 402 Hp at the wheels. Other mods on the car include all BMR bushings in front and rear suspensions, BMR control arms, toe links, and strut tower brace. It has MTI racing big red sway bars connected with Pfadt adjustable end-links. It also has H&R lowering springs. It currently has TSW Nurburging wheels with Toyo Proxes STll tires. The rear has been rebuilt with Lingenfelter 3.91:1 gears, and a LPW rear support cover. The driveshaft has been upgraded with a Driveshaft Shop aluminum 1 piece 1000 hp shaft that I hand polished before installation. The interior and exterior have many parts that were removed and hydrocarbon coated. The interior also feature Lingenfelter Pedal kit, and floor mats special ordered through Chevrolet in Japan. All the marker lights, taillights, front and rear emblems, and windows have all been tinted for a sleek outside appearance.

I've used Kiwi Grip several times now for non-skid type applications and I really like it. It's easy to apply and durable.
This car was purchased out of the jaws of the car crusher at a salvage yard. The car was fully restored by me and some close and talented friends that helped with the paint and transmission… I built the 455 Stage 1 Buick engine and completed the restoration myself. As you can see Jet-Hot was the first choice for any coatings that were added to the car. The intake, headers, power steering pump and brackets were all Jet-Hot coated and have performed flawlessly for the last 15 years. This car has placed first in countless car shows.
