Loved the shadows the hangers projected, people probably wonder when I was more interested in the coat rack than the art exhibit. Sometimes it just happens.
My wife has a flair for design and an eye for art. This is a hook of an Eames Hang-It-All Coat Rack in our apartment in Altadena, California. The original is in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA). It was designed in 1963.
Saw this rather unique coat rack base in an office which I had been too. It seemed worthy of a photo.

Went to a very small town in RI today, as we'd heard about a few antique shops . . . only found two, but enjoyed each one, especially the "more organized" place, as seen above!
This is a photo of a coat rack seen through a frosted glass window panel in the library in Yarmouth.
If you think about it, this funny-looking coat and hat rack makes a lot of sense. Unlike smaller, more pointed hangers, the balls won't distort or mark your clothing items...or worse--tear the fabric if the clothing item is quite heavy.

The light jacket is for waking up hours before my wife, while the thermostat is set for cold sleeping... :)
