In the midst of a cold snap GBRf's 92020 'Billy Stirling' is seen leading 5B26 from Edinburgh past the frosted fields of Hartwood. The coaching stock had arrived into Edinburgh from London earlier in the morning and it was being returned to Polmadie for servicing ahead of forming the next sleeper trains to London later on.

The towers above the treeline belong to the former Hartwood Hospital - a psychiatric hospital which opened in 1895 and closed in 1998. Despite being abandoned for decades and suffering major fires within that time the two towers remain standing as a prominent landmark.

Found in a railway museum in Douglas, WY – some of the cars had access offering up this old view of travel accommodations from the early 1900’s as people moved West. I found the lamps interesting. You certainly don’t get headroom in airplanes of today!

Sorry I haven't posted pics in a while! Here one is! Saw this gorgeous Veyron flying down the street in Beverly Hills! I saw with Gordon & Andrew (Countach Fan). We all chased this with an Aventador down the alley behind Rodeo as you saw in my last upload. Please tell me what you think of the shot!

Comments & Favs are appreciated!

I originally posted this in 2015, but I thought it needed more editing. It was a very gray day with an uninteresting sky. There were no buildings in the background, just gray sky. So I did a complete background replacement using a shot I'd gotten on the same street. I blurred the building with the Photoshop lens blur filter -- it was originally sharp.

Two men wait at a coach stop in an Outback town. We spoke, they were two hours early with a 17 hour ride ahead of them. Come early and get the best seats.

With a sea of cars in view, Burlington Northern NW2 476 goes to work switching Amtrak's Chicago coach yard in August 1976. The ex-Great Northern unit was handling a small cut of cars, likely getting them ready to head out of town. A mix of cars of practically all types are visible (sleepers, diners, baggage cars, coaches), with the most prominent being Dome 5-1-3 Sleeper 9202 "Sunlight Dome", a 1948 Budd product originally built for the Chesapeake & Ohio.

In the hands of her mother, Amy, Addison Pervine is lifted out of the tub to be dried off after her Wednesday morning bath. Keeping Addi and her environment clean is a constant effort because she is greatly at risk from common illness. Because of her heart condition, we have to make sure she doesn't get sick. . . Any respiratory illness would cause hospitilization and could be fatal for her, said Amy Pervine.

Warringtons of Ilam ran this rather nice Bedford SB from new on their network of rural services around Ashbourne. Photographed in Ashbourne bus station 14th April 1990.

I don’t even remember having taken this photo, probably because it wasn’t very good, but at least it’s one showing X227 FBB in a clean state, as opposed to covered in grime in the dampness of early February. Presumably it’s off to do a school route having just come off the 17 a few minutes before, seen making a dash along the A52 with the slip board still in the windscreen. In a photo taken from a 36 (or possibly even a Y36) it rounds Priory Island while heading towards Nottingham along Derby Road.
