How will the cloud change media?
NYC Media Lab gathered a select group of influencers and thought leaders from across the media, technology, and academic communities to discuss the ways the cloud will affect media in the future. Participants exchanged insights and analyses ranging from current challenges such as usage rights and privacy to new possibilities afforded by low barriers to entry and elastic capacity. As the session closed, attendees priori-zed topics of interest ripe for future research and collabora-on.

The former Federal CIO issued the Federal Cloud Computing Strategy in February 2010 and the then new initiative was greeted with enthusiasm and skepticism from industry and agency professionals alike. Two and a half years later, many government organizations are embracing cloud computing as a viable alternative to past IT strategies and hosted computing is viewed as a cost-effective option for resource-strapped operations. During this timeframe, government organizations from GSA to NIST to the Department of Defense have been working hard to determine the best methods to ensure hosted computing environments can be trusted for processing agency data and enabling expanding remote workforce initiatives that are underway.

On my way back from work, I look up and I see this building with clouds reflected in only a ceratin section of the building's glass exterior. On first look they look uniform, but a closer observation reveals that the specific section has slightly recessed windows
