Close-ups - always fun when you can't get out.

I thought this was interesting... the old stonework of turn of the century buildings contrasted with a modern Chinese sign.

It's amazing anything came out on this film being it expired at least 40 years ago!

Taken with my 1971 Minox "C" using very expired Minox ASA 25 film. As far as I can tell the film expired in the early 1960s because it came in a metal box and was wrapped in paper.

At approximately 4.3 metres to 5.2 metres high, the giraffe is the tallest land-living animal.

The average mass for an adult male giraffe is 1,200 kg. Females weigh around 830 kg.

They will drink large quantities of water and prefer areas with plenty of acacia growth.

I really became good friends with this fish, and if I had it my way, he would be my newest pet.

Close up shot of a seagull in Tobermory bay. Camera used was a bit better than my own current one.

This is an A-10 Thunderbolt. The A-10 is the best plane ever, and not just because of the big fat gun in its nose, which is a toy for boys all on its own. According to Wikipedia, an "A-10 can fly even after the loss of one side of the tail, 1/2 of a single wing, and one engine." How cool is that! Zombie plane!

Funny thing is that this transformer is not quite in correct in the angle of the engines: the real A-10 has its engines at a 9-degree angle so it can get off the ground because of the engines' strange placement. In the transformer, they're straight. Fortunately, the hip-hinge has worn a little over the years and the entire tail is pulled down about nine degrees by gravity.

This is a lot of text for a flickr photo.
