Four Barn owls in the area Wednesday afternoon. This bird with a ring not seen there previously dived real close
- Keefer Lake, Ontario, Canada -
Although I prefer sunrises to sunsets at Keefer Lake the light is always magical at both ... even if they are qualitatively very different. This photo is taken from my boat looking north. The small beach is a public boat launch area for those who want to fish Keefer Lake but don't live here. My house is west of here (to the left in the photo).

Second image from a close encounter with a barn owl, which landed nearby the car earlier this year. Didn't have time to adjust the camera settings to get the ISO down, just took the shot. It quickly flew off shortly after.
Preserved 14th Century street in Wells, Somerset. Processed with one of the vintage filters in Lightroom with a touch of added grain.
This is a close-up photo of a shower skin scrubber. I love the texture and copper colour of the background.

Another tiny portion of a wonderful painting I was gifted, by an amazing artist and friend.
I used three extension tubes to get really close, and am so happy I did, and thus got to examine this work of art in extreme detail :-)

Got to close to this angry goose , lucky for me i had my old dad in his wheel chair between me and it , .......not so lucky for dad. All turned out ok
Hare in profile, from a close encounter with a group fairly recently. Last time I saw them they all bolted immediately, which just goes to show how whimsical they can be. View large for eye detail!
