The pressure of being on time in our industrialized society

New year, new start. I split up with my husband at the end of the last year, and learned that things don't always go as planned.

So this year is all about learning more about who I am, what I want. Learning that I can't always control everything and that if things seem like they are going well, just go with the flow, instead of waiting for something to go wrong.

Happy New Year everyone!

Clockwork describes itself as a "storied punk rock bar & music club with an edgy backdrop of graffiti-covered walls & booths." This was shot on Essex Street, on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

And now we meet the work of Launceston's premier street artist, Kreamart. I was taken by the sheer artistic skill in producing this section of the wall, but more so by the fact that in 2020 a young person is still referencing that classic Anthony Burgess novel and Stanley Kubrick masterpiece of film art, "A Clockwork Orange".

The importance of photographs like this is evident by the fact this piece of street art no longer exists. Long since painted over by something a little less superior.

Music flooded the show as the sound of clockwork was drowned amidst the exotic instrumentals played by a sole mechanical musician.

The Ornum Empire enjoys a good story, and the empire holds many legends and myths harking back to the olden days back before steam power was even a thing. The empire enjoys mechanical inventions even more, and the creation of the Clockwork Show soon became a popular form of entertainment to the people, combining the art of storytelling and steam-powered mechanics.

Intricately crafted robotic performers replace humans in this bedazzling modern take on a traditional show. Here in the Bricks and Boilers Exposition, The Clockwork Show impresses and awes the visitors with its rendition of a classic tale about a woman who fell in love with a genie and dances with him every night in the palace in secrecy.

Built for The "Bricks & Boilers" Exposition competition at the LEGO Steampunk group. This one's for the "Amusement Gardens" category :D

Phew, finally, all three builds are done! I can finally switch off steampunk music that's been playing on loop for the whole week XD I guess Steam Powered Giraffe's "Clockwork Vaudeville" unconsciously inspired me to build this while it occasionally blares on the speakers :P

It was pretty tough to come up with an attraction at first, party due to the type of kingdom I chose to represent. Carousels and roller coasters seem really off and it doesn't feel like it belonged in this kingdom, so I opted for an attraction that I can modify and work with according to the theme.

Check out the video in the link below! It really spins.
