"Why am I smilin' and why do I sing?

Why does December seem sunny as Spring?

Why do I get up each morning to start happy

And get up with joy in my heart?

Why is each new task a trifle to do?

Because I am living a life full of you"...

A special viewer build request we completed on stream yesterday! A very fun little build. The gears on the body are all linked and rotate as well!

Two Glasgow Subway trains pass at West Street.

One of my favourite shots from the couple of hours I spent on the Glasgow Subway, Car 117 breaks the silence arriving into West Street with an outer circle working. It was great to see the now 40+ year old second generation stock still very much earning its keep, but for how much longer?

"...because Father said clocks slay time. He said time is dead as long as it is being clicked off by little wheels; only when the clock stops does time come to life.”

―(William Faulkner: The Sound and the Fury)―

Some years ago, this clock, which sits over a shelf in my writing office, stopped working. It may need new batteries, or it may need a heart transplant. The nice thing, though, is...it's either always getting close to lunch....or almost midnight.

A school project combining photographed objects with scanned textures as background.

A last minute check on the weather forecast for this morning a call to a good friend, bag check and it takes us to Mam Tor in the Peak District in hopeful mind of a decent sunrise materialising and we weren't disappointed when from over Castleton this incandescent orange ball of fire began to rise into the sky, not too bad a cloudscape either which always works well as the colour reflects across the sky. Always a joy to see yet alone be able to capture :)

Tried some different lighting for this one. I enjoyed putting this iconic scene together from Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange. Hope you droogs like it!

Couldn't resist another one, less twiggage this time but not that sharp, they do go like the clappers though.

Sunrise...6:45 AM. I doubt that Alex and his droogs would have appreciated this much, but somehow I think Ludwig van himself might have preferred it over the cinematic scenes to which it was applied. Just an opinion...
