It is not just my camera-work that makes this clock-tower lean. It is on an angle because of soft ground caused by the now underground River Feirste, the river that gives Béal Feirste its name.

I wanted to take an creative picture of our clocktower at UBC and thought having it peak out behind flowers would look cool. I was doing some self-portraits in the area
The clock tower was designed by the Levantine French architect Raymond Charles Père and built in 1901 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Abdülhamid II's accession to the throne (reigned 1876–1909). The clock itself was a gift from German Emperor Wilhelm II (reigned 1888–1918). It is decorated in an elaborate Ottoman architecture style. The tower, which has an iron and lead skeleton, is 25 m (82 ft) high and features four fountains (şadırvan), which are placed around the base in a circular pattern. The columns are inspired by Moorish themes.
On our way to hike at Big South Fork, I looked up at this pretty clocktower and asked Chuck to back the car up. I thought it would make a neat photo against the sky that day. I like it. :)
Inside the Daniels & Fisher Clocktower for "Doors Open Denver" weekend.. this was the gear mechanism for the clock hands from inside on the South Wall... you can kinda tell what time it is from the shadows the clock's hands are casting on the glass...

The Daniels & Fisher (D&F) Tower adds distinction to the Denver skyline. The landmark, built as par of the Daniels & Fisher department store in 1910 was the tallest structure west of the Mississippi at the time, at a height of 325 feet. The 20-floor clock tower has clock faces on all four sides.
This clocktower is behind a place I used to live at. I like the antique effect I got here, along with the sort of moody effect of the clouds.
