Richard cutting toenails in a Reno hotel with, now that I think of it, really tacky bedding. Stuff in the foreground is still embedded with playa dust from Burning Man 2007.

"..and don't forget the clips" - she says always but.... i always forget.
Felt restless tonight and had to upload something. The good thing about not going out to shoot is, you are forced to check that harddrive and make some old pic work.
This was my replacement for the other Clip+ that broke. I've had it about 6 weeks, and the clip broke off in my hand as I was clipping it to my jeans pocket. Never dropped, never abused; just cheap plastic in a high-stress area (at the hinge).
I finally decided after 3 bad Sansas (two Clips plus an m260) that I had to get something made to last.

A prototype for a new idea. It's made from canvas and chrome tanned leather.
The idea is to produce a clip-on utility pocket.
Made this a little too small at the opening. I can't get my hands in to grab stuff at the bottom.
Here's a 72-second clip from the Chinese movie "Under the Hawthorn Tree".
It shows a play where the characters are singing their praises to the Communist Party and Chairman Mao.
"Our political party is greater than heaven and earth; Chairman Mao loves the people more than parents love their children; Nothing in the world compares with the goodness of communism; Chairman Mao's principles are the treasure of the revolution; Whoever is against Chairman Mao will be our enemy"
During the cultural revolution (1966 - 1976), young people from the cities were forcibly moved to the countryside, where they were forced to abandon all forms of standard education in place of the propaganda teachings of the Communist Party of China.
The movie isn't about the cultural revolution, but rather the storey of 'forbidden love' during the revolution.
Its actually a good movie.
