Here is an image of the Red Mill Museum Village from the steel bridge that crosses the Raritan River on the side. We were practicing long exposure photography with neutral density filters to get the silky water effect.
The Red Mill is a 4-story grist mill located along the South Branch Raritan River at 56 Main Street in Clinton, New Jersey. It was built c. 1810 as an industrial mill. It has served several roles, including a wool processing plant, a peach basket factory, and a textile mill.
Yesterday was a very interesting weather day here in Southeastern Michigan. Very foggy and cold making for alot of frosty areas, which made for some neat pics.

I have a feeling after a few days of rain that we are suppose to get, these beauties will be gone.

saw this row of golden gorgeousness as I pulled into the parking lot at work a few days ago.

My plan for 2011 is first, to continue to enjoy the company and camaraderie of all the incredible people and photographers I have met through flickr, Eastside Camera Club and Exposure Detroit.
Second, I am a lighting fanatic. I believe any subject can be made to look great with good lighting and that will be where I concentrate my efforts in photography this year.
Happy New Year to you all.
This is my dear friend and co worker Kelly ... a fabulous stylist at the salon and spa I manage. She is always willing to help me out at the desk when I'm in a pinch. The last few weeks when I had to leave work suddenly during my Moms illness, she was ready to step in.
Thank you so much Kelly ... you have been my lifesaver !!
Oh yeah guys ... she's single too ;-)
Happy Monday all !!
I won't be around today ... going to babysit my grandson all day. Catch you later ;-)

Fascination of the unknown is something that lies inside all of us, especially me. I’ve always been attracted to mythology and all types of horror movies. Of all the stories I have absorbed into memory, besides Dante’s Inferno, I can’t recollect someone describing what it’s like for the souls of the damned reaching the gates of Hell. Why not a challenging photography interpretation?
Don’t worry I didn’t lose my mind! In case you’re wondering, there are no computer-generated effects in this photograph. This is the power of about 80 layers and a week worth of patience. My speedlight was also used off camera and fired into a reflective umbrella to give me the perfect lighting to start it off. Listening to Black Sabbath and Dio helped the process!
