There were lots of puddles but for some reason all the swallows congregated on this one. (I could have benefitted from a faster shutter speed on these shots!)
A break from the ducks, you cant beat a Gannet photo. These were all taken at Bempton Cliffs. It wont be long and they will be back in huge numbers.
Thanks to all who view and comment on my images, much appreciated :)

Or if you prefer (which I most certainly do), the Cliffs of Insanity! Pretty sure someone stashed a horcrux around here somewhere too.
Gros Ventre River Valley Near Grand Teton National Park in the Bridger-Teton National Forest east of Kelly, Wyoming. An outcrop of the Chugwater Formation forms cliffs. The Chugwater consists of interbeds of shale; siltone and sandstone. The white beds are marls or limestones.
The beautiful old city of Cuenca in central Spain. Some of the houses along the cliff date back to the 16th century.
Thriving in a precarious position on the cliffs, a Ice plant lends some colour to the terrain above the Pacific Ocean swell.

The Sea Cliff Bridge, together with the adjoining Lawrence Hargrave Drive Bridge, are two road bridges that carry the scenic Lawrence Hargrave Drive across the rockface on the Illawarra escarpment, located in the northern Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia.
These amazing cliffs are on Maria Island. Unfortunately we weren't on the island at sunset which would have really lit up the west facing rock face. What you see is actually rock, not ochre or the like.
I've been in Zion for about a week, exploring the canyons and riverbeds. I started out slow, but got some great shots in retrospect. This shot was an unexpected find as most of my shots are. I had popped out of a canyon hike and was on to another area. I stopped in a roadside pullout and noticed these trees that were about to emerge from the shadow of the mountain.
Navagio Beach (Greek: Ναυάγιο), or Shipwreck Beach, is an exposed cove, sometimes referred to as "Smugglers Cove", on the coast of Zakynthos, in the Ionian Islands of Greece. It has been so named since 1983, when the alleged smuggler ship Panagiotis was wrecked on the beach while transporting cigarettes. It was previously known as Agios Georgios.[ is located on the north-west shore of Zakynthos (Zante), in the Municipality of Elation. The area is defined by its sheer limestone cliffs, white sand beaches, and clear blue water, which attract thousands of tourists yearly. The strip of beach is accessed only by boat. Regular tours to the beach depart from Porto Vromi to the south, and from Agios Nikolaos and Cape Skinari to the north-east. Boats also arrive from the harbour of Zakynthos city.
