Today*s 2009 Challenge, Day 284: VIOLET.
I didn't feel like getting dressed and going out!! My feet they are still soar, I am preparing for the little fall exhibit where I work or simply laziness, but I had some ideas of what I'll do, besides the challenge was posted late!!
Well, you guessed it!! My sleepy head Amber shows up for a visit and her car seat has violet/purple fabric, I said "don't move her, please!!" grabbed my camera and click click got me few shots!! My two daughters and Susan (Amber's mom) as if rehearsed cried in unison outloud and laughing, "drama queen at work!!!", I smiled and said "Girls, YOU cook lunch/supper!! You could hear their jaws dropping!!! Saweeet!!! Took my sleepy Amber and my two sleepy puppies and moved to my living room/office little corner and voila!!!
Amber saved my day from cooking and gave me subject for photochallenge!! I hear the chatting and cooking, smells good I am sure the menu is: lemon chicken marinated from last night , rice pilaf, salad and cheese ravioli with white sauce.
Now that this is done, I better get ready for printing few fall photos!!!

Some species of click beetle, half of them all look the same so it's hard to tell. Probably have to do something dumb like count antennae segments.

Almost home after 12hrs of driving.
Everything is turning green, flowers are blooming and it is 15C. Yes, spring has arrived out here on the West Coast.

Our smallest falcon, the kestrel : This was hard to believe but i have been chasing these little falcons for years and never got the shot i wanted well then the other day i walked out my front door and there was the shot sitting in my Oak Tree,so with a mad dash back into the house to get the camera i was able to pull of some decent clicks befor away it went.
