This is my first click exactly a year ago after a instant technical training about Nikon D3200 @ Camera.lk
Happily celebrating 1st anniversary with my dearest Nikon D3200 :)
I went to my local park in hopes of getting a 'clicker fix' so when I spotted this young Gallinule posing I clicked away...:)

Look at the curling black proboscis or sipping straw that is a vital characteristic of heliconian butterflies!
The Heliconius butterfly can live up to 9 months while neotropical butterflies normally live a couple weeks! Heliconius butterflies have two unique traits:
1- pollen feeding. Adult butterflies systematically collect pollen from flowers which they masticate on the proboscis to dissolve out amino acids. Since they do not need to store nutrients for egg and sperm production, caterpillars are able to develop rapidly allowing adults to have a greatly extended lifespan in the wild.
2- Pupal mating is a second unusual trait found in some Heliconius species. Males search for female pupae on larval food plants and sit on them. The next morning mating occurs before the female has completely emerged. Pupal-mating may enhance the possibility of intrageneric mimicry. Second, it may influence host-plant specialization, as pupal-mating species may displace other heliconiines from their hosts by interference competition.
Yes, this unusual flower is called Hot Lips! There are over 2,000 species of Psychotria, the genus under which Hot Lips falls. Where does Hot Lips grow? Psychotria elata is part of the tropical rainforest understory flora of the Americas. It is a unique plant with uninteresting flowers but fabulous lip-like bracts. The plant can be difficult to grow and has very special cultivation conditions. Hot lips grows as a shrub or small tree.

La foto se tomo con una cámara CANON M50, Apertura F8, lente 45mm, velocidad 1/1600, ISO 100, anillo de extensión de 10mm, con una iluminación muy dura, hacia un poco de viento, por eso la velocidad de opturación, la flor estaba bajo algunas plantas mas altas pero un pequeño rayo de sol se colaba entre la sombra y le pegaba directo al centro de la flor amarilla y quise conservar esa imagen en la que los pistilos recibían mas iluminación que los pétalos.

The Eyed-Click Beetle was under some loose bark of a fallen tree trunk. When I picked him up he started to "click" non stop. I laid him on the moss for a picture before putting him back under the bark.

All the photos I present were taken on the beaches of the “Nirvana Club Village” which is located in Belcastro Marina in Calabria (southern Italy); I made photos related to "beach photography" (a genre similar to "street photography");
... I photographed young and old people ... with a great desire for the sea and a great desire to dive into the sea to swim; I made some photo-portraits of people I didn't know, I thank them very much for their sympathy and their availability; I tried to capture the essence of minimal photographic stories, collected walking along the beaches ... in search of fleeting moments ...
I used a particular photographic technique for some photographs at the time of shooting, which in addition to capturing the surrounding space, also "inserted" a temporal dimension, with photos characterized by being moved because the exposure times were deliberately lengthened, they are confused -focused-imprecise-undecided ... the Anglo-Saxon term that encloses this photographic genre with a single word is "blur", these images were thus created during the shooting phase, and not as an effect created subsequently, in retrospect, in the post-production

Tutte le foto che presento sono state realizzate sulle spiagge del Nirvana Club Village in Calabria in località Belcastro Marina (Catanzaro); ho realizzato foto riconducibili alla “beach photography” (un genere affine alla “street photography”);
ho fotografato persone giovani e meno giovani…con tanta voglia di mare e tanta voglia di immergersi in acqua per fare qualche nuotata; ho realizzato alcuni foto-ritratti di persone che non conoscevo, le ringrazio veramente tanto per la loro simpatia e la loro disponibilità; ho cercato di cogliere al volo l’essenza di storie fotografiche minime, raccolte camminando sulle spiagge... alla ricerca di attimi fugaci s-fuggenti ...
Ho utilizzato per alcune fotografie una tecnica fotografica particolare al momento dello scatto, che oltre a catturare lo spazio circostante, ha "inserito" anche una dimensione temporale, con foto caratterizzate dall’essere mosse poiché volutamente sono stati allungati i tempi di esposizione, sono confuse-sfocate-imprecise-indecise...il termine anglosassone che racchiude con una sola parola questo genere fotografico è "blur", queste immagini sono state così realizzate in fase di scatto, e non come un effetto creato successivamente, a posteriori, in fase di post-produzione.---------------------------------------------------------
