Big Sweep 2012 - Elmira Park

On May 13 HCC students, faculty and staff participated in County Executive Ulman's "20-Minute Cleanup." HCC joined groups across the county to spend a mere 1,200 seconds cleaning the areas where we live, learn and work.

There was a quite a bit of treefall in Lincoln because of this storm, but I didn't get many photos of that. For the most part power stayed on as far as I know, and it seemed the populace had little difficulty getting around.

i found these coat hooks and hung them up to hang Cayden's diaper bags and backpacks on. the tub has a monitor that was given to us but doesnt work so its on its way out and there is a bag of donate stuff to the left of the tub but you cant see it very well.

When the hurricane winds got all the way to Cincinnati in Sept 2008, and we were without power for four days.... we had a lot of cleaning up to do.

Here we are heading for the most critical cleanup job after the winds stopped. We had six trees down but only this one was in the street, so we did this one first. Unfortunately the chain saw was broken!

What could be more cheerful than flowers and insects together on a sunny day?! They bring summer back and hope for the coming year that it'll be a joyful and a happy one.. Have a wonderful New Year everybody!!
