It is a custom to cleanse your hands and mouth prior to praying at Japanese temples.

At the purification fountain near the shrine's entrance, take one of the ladles provided, fill it with fresh water and rinse both hands. Then transfer some water into your cupped hand, rinse your mouth and spit the water beside the fountain.

You are not supposed to transfer the water directly from the ladle into your mouth or swallow the water. You will notice that quite a few visitors skip the mouth rinsing part or the purification ritual altogether.

Sometimes you just need to walk down the beach, let the waves crash in and cleanse you of all the stress, aggravation and sadness in your life. Come on waves work your magic.

Pine boughs compete for a bit of solar energy along the eastward facing side. This tree was damaged several years ago with some wind but has recovered nicely. The image seemed to work better in monochrome.

My journey in Second Life began as an extension of my time on IMVU—a space where I could form connections, express my artistic self, and immerse myself in the beauty of shared creativity. Over time, I built meaningful relationships, collaborated with like-minded individuals, and navigated the highs and lows of virtual companionship. I’ve shared laughter and heartache, experienced conflicts and reconciliations, and, like many, even explored aspects of myself in ways that felt exciting and, at times, indulgent....

Here's my first non-meetup upload. I still have more that I might edit later but the majority of the uploads are out of the way. Like I said before, the meetup has inspired me so much, I want to shoot now more than ever and I'm starting to think up new concepts everyday.

I guess the title kind of says enough about the concept. Thanks mom for throwing milky water all over me.

Hope you all are having a great summer and I hope that I will be uploading a lot more often!

This is the best version of 6 attempts at this shot. Unfortunately it was left with about a trillion bits of crap on the filter and lens from the sea spray and other detritus. I spent about an hour cleaning this up. Apart from cloning the crap off this is SOOC.
