"These streets must be cleansed. To save our city, we must burn away this disease! Every trace of it! Only through the power of fire can we be free."

Inspired to put this together with the current state of affairs.

There really are some jobs over in H-block that a cleaner shouldn't have to deal with...

I know I haven't posted in a while. I have been really, really busy! I have really been focused on getting healthy and have been working really hard to lose weight. Since the beginning of September, I have lost 42 pounds! Yes, I am still buying dolls too, so I will have a lot of photos to post soon. I am still working on my doll room and I am also cleaning out my "inventory" and hope to post some dolls for sale soon!
Here is a photo of the 32 Pipe Cleaner Pups I made to give out at our doll club Christmas party this past Saturday!

Messier 109, also known as The Vacuum Cleaner Galaxy, is arguably the most distant object in the Messier Catalogue. Arguable because it is one of two Messier objects that are thought to be 55 million light-years away (the other is galaxy M58). M109 is also the faintest of the M objects and, like Andromeda Galaxy, home to over a trillion stars. It has several companion galaxies, three of which are easily seen in my picture. Harder to spot are the dozen or so background galaxies in the photo.
I imaged for two nights with the ZWO 2600MC and the Celestron HD8 atop the iOptron CEM40ec.
The cleaner.
She looked tired and no doubt she had reason to do so.
Perhaps she had already completed a long and thankless shift cleaning up after other people. Most likely working for a pittance.
She was young, maybe she is a student working part time to pay her way through her studies. Maybe she is a young single mother trying to put food on the table.
We may never know her true story.
Its a funny yet sad situation the way we tend to treat people who undertake menial tasks.

I run into this man from time to time as he washes windows of the Cedar Fairmount buildings. Having worked that job while in college I know what a rough gig that can be especially in cold weather. #respekt

It was raining, and cold. I wanted to make a potrait of a lonely man. His plastic raincoat made his standing out of the background. The results was not that good because of the distance and angle of view.
