I took these photos the same day as the Chicago Marathon.
I felt a little weird Saturday night so I went for a little drive to clear my head. From the hill driving east on Kingston Pike I saw this place was all lit-up and empty. I pulled in the parking lot got the camera out of my backseat and sat down to snap a few. I really wanted this to be HDR, but I don't have the software for doing it well anymore.

Everything is cast and machined in Los Angeles using the original patterns and tooling by the same family who made the stuff in the 1940s and 1950s.
I spotted this window cleaner on one of the buildings near work on Friday morning. I had the 50mm lens on still, and it was set for the inside of a museum; obviously not at all right for a bright day, but nonetheless I quite like the effect I ended up with. I only wish I could take the blue out of the windows.
