Here are some recent pictures of my CLEAN studio. I spent a few days cleaning out and rearranging the workroom. It needed a change badly. My studio is really just a room off of my bedroom, but I really prefer to have a large workroom rather than a large bedroom. Plus it gets the light from my one and only window. The building is really old (from the late 1800's I believe) and creaky and I live on the top floor in the roof, which is why all the odd angles crookedness. I think the floors look nicer in these pictures than they do in real life.

This is what I got for rescuing a Bull Snake from my dogs. Bull Snake bites are no worse that a good scratch though, and as long as you clean them and are up on your Tetanus shots they're nothing to worry about. However, its a good reminder of why a person should never try to pick up a Rattlesnake. Most Rattlesnake bites occur, oddly enough, on young, intoxicated males.

Washing your feet and applying clean socks at the end of each day prevents a lot of foot strife (blisters, chafing, smell, etc). All you need is a wet bandana.

The guy on the left I think is the engineer of this train. He got out and was tossing water (or some liquid) on the windshield of the locomotive ... cleaning it I guess. This is Route 128 Station.
There’s something so great about fires, I don’t know what it is. It was very cleansing to spend some time cleaning some of the brush out of the garden and burning it. Time spent tending the fire was a much needed bit of relaxation even though I was working! We certainly should make it a point to have a few more campfires this fall and spend some time sitting by the fireside!
Disposable homemade lens/visor/glasses cleaning cloth pack. A small ziplock bag with a 4:1 mixture of 91% alcohol and water wets a blue paper shop towel. The lower portion is heat sealed, and a clean, dry towel is placed in the top half for drying and buffing. The whole packet is disposable.

So excited!!! I needed to clean a bit of mildew from the bathroom.. apparently tea tree oil, vinegar and grapeseed extract are all great for it... I'd used vinegar successfully before, but it was a pain to apply... 'I know!' I thought... 'I'll just rest a sprayer from my mum's recycling in the vinegar bottle, and spray it straight from the bottle".. ...and the sprayer screwed on to the bottle PERFECTLY!!
I now have the perfect cleaning spray, and can just screw the sprayer onto the next bottle when this one is off for glass recycling :))))

Our mill has been scrubbed at last! Workmen came with cherry picker platforms to repair broken windows, and cover them with perspex. We don't really want the covers but local vandals have been catapulting stones at the glass so the perspex is a necessity to prevent further damage, and fortunately it doesn't show too bad.
At the same time, the boards were cleaned so all sides were returned to their pristine state. The paintwork has lasted extremely well, with only some peeling and rot noticed in some window frames. It is a vast improvement now that all the algae has been removed, and will hopefully stay cleaner for longer now that some nearby (dead) trees have been taken down, giving the site more light.
We've also fixed the spotlights (the old ones having quit after a respectable thirty years). One is timed, the other on a motion sensor for the benefit of the people whose driveway we share, so the building will be lit at night, could be worth a night photo sometime...
Compare with its former mucky self especially around the Lucam, what a difference!
Hm, there is a lot of soy and dairy product in here.
We're trying to figure out the best setting for our 'crisper'. Apparently, high humidity is best for leafy greens and low humidity is best for fruits and veggies with skins.
Finally the city decided to clean the entire canal of Rauma of all debris.
