An eastbound intermodal was hotfooting across the barren Iowa landscape behind a clean Chicago and North Western C44-9W and a Union Pacific SD40-2 in 1997.
In a few miles the hotshot will pause in Clinton for a new crew before continuing on to Chicago.

The amount of quarries in Wales is so large that it was sheer impossible to see even a small part of it. I truly hope to go back again, after all, the impression left by the mines was unparalleled.

I come clean
Back a few years a Chessie grain train with a clean GE rolls south toward the 9 Mile Road crossing in Novi, Michigan on February 26, 1983.
The photo captures a cyberpunk-style being, equipped with glowing tattoos, cleaning the streets with a futuristic gun. The setting is a dark alley with luminous signs and graffiti. Sie ist aus einer Karawanenstation an der Seidenstraße hervorgegangen, erlebte seit ihrem Bestehen mehrere Umbenennungen. So wurde die russische Festung Pischpek 1878 namensgebend, von 1926 bis 1991 hieß sie nach Michail Wassiljewitsch Frunse.

An impressively clean GP39N rebuild leads local YEY71 out of East Yard in San Antonio for a short westward jaunt before turning north on the Austin Sub via the Kerrville Industrial Track to serve customers. November 2021.
A Pied avocet (Recurvirostra avosetta) was captured during a clean take off with elegant style. The charm of composition is the neat and clean posture of the bird and the delightful backdrop bokeh. Pics was taken from Teesta River in Siliguri, West Bengal, India.
Another from those great ragged rocks up at Bamburgh. The photo I posted the other day of Bamburgh Castle was taken from the same point as this photo. The Castle photo received an incredible amount of likes which I’m grateful. I know this photo will receive only half as many but personally I have more empathy for this photo and virtually none for the castle photo. The castle is an icon photo, taken and liked by many. I took the photo for its commercial properties, it keeps me in printing consumables. But this photo is for me, my art, my type of photograph, so as long as I like it the jobs a good’un.
