Australian parrot. This is a male one and in my yard. There was a female one very close to him, too.

What I wouldn't give to have our old mix matched bag of shit power back after too many years of orange. However when they were fresh and clean still they were well worth the chase especially on a day like this. MQT 3389, 3391 and on loan ISRR 3388, a beast of a loco at that, lead one of our tonnage trains south out of white cloud on a rare snow covered code blue day. It may not look like a large train but these trains will put a trio, later on quad and some times a quintet of 40's down to their knees on the hills going south from Baldwin to Grand Rapids. The tonnage graph for DC EMD's says 1 Horse Power per ton but we try to keep the trains at about 1.2 or higher to make sure we don't have to double unless the power goes belly up.
I saw this duck on a pond during my walk on Saturday morning. It was the only white duck there but lived in a group of mallards who seemed to accept her. I guess it's a domestic duck, however it ended up on the pond.
