14th May 2023 - Frome Showground Flea Market & Craft Fair.
Every month through the summer this is held at the West Woodlands Showground, Frome. Whilst the primary part of the event is the Flea Market there is also a auction usually with collectables, general stuff, occasional vehicles and trailers. Alongside however is a classic car & vehicle meet and is well attended, some food stalls and coffee.
Published dates for the rest of 2023 are: 11th June, 9th July, 13th August, 8th Oct. 9am-3pm.

I haven't posted a car shot for an age so here's one of the hundreds I took during the summer months.
I came across this 1950 Pontiac Straight-8, (you don't get cars with names like that anymore), at a local classic car show and was drawn to the gorgeous interior. I had intended shooing it through an open window but I couldn't find the owner to let me in. The guys that own these machines generally can't wait to show off their cars which isn't surprising bearing in mind all the love sweat & tears they lavish on them. The translucent glass was kind of interesting so I shot it from outside instead.
Some of you petrol heads will no doubt be able to tell me what the car in the reflection is....MG Sprite?
5 exposure handheld hdr -2 - +2 with three additional exposures (-3 -4 & +3) created in Adobe Camera Raw. Post processing via photomatix, & photoshop with topaz clarity and de noise plugins.
Nikon D700 and 16 - 35 f4vr @ 29mm. ISO 800, exposure 1/30 - 1/500 sec at f10.

A Mark 2 Ford Escort leaving the big car show at the Humber Bridge earlier in April 2025. This monthly show attracts hundreds of cars and their owners between April and September. The first show of the year was held in nice spring weather so a few extra cars turned up....
