Doc and I must drive over 130 miles one way, before we encounter our nearest stop lights. When we drop down out of the mountains into Palmer, Alaska (population 7, 300) - we can't wait to get our shopping done and return to our beloved cabin and the boreal forest that surrounds it.

Although some photographers dislike shooting when the sun is high, I think midday scenes can be well worth capturing.

Coal loads roll out of the cougar infested siding at Lockwood, where steep cliffs sandwich the tracks between the river. The new facility for grain and feed can be seen in the distance.

La vista de la Acrópolis ateniense al atardecer revela el pretérito ocaso del espelendor de una ciudad y cultura que llenó de luz el mundo, a la vez que te pone frente a sus más de veinticinco siglos de herencia viva y presente en el mundo occidental.

The view of the Athenian Acropolis at sunset reveals the past decline of the splendor of a city and culture that filled the world with light, while at the same time puts you in front of more than twenty five centuries of vivid heritage present in the western World.

File or Philé (in Latin texts: Philæ, Philae, Philae; in Greek: Φιλαί; in Egyptian: pꜣ-ı͗w-rq) was the name of an island located in the Nile River, eleven kilometers south of Aswan, in Egypt (24°01′15″N 32°53′22″E). It was famous for the temples erected during the Ptolemaic and Roman periods dedicated to the cult of the goddess Isis that spread throughout the Mediterranean, maintaining its veneration in the temple of File until it was prohibited in the time of Justinian I, in 535 AD. c.

The island of File was submerged in the 20th century under the dammed waters of the Aswan dam, although under UNESCO sponsorship the temples were dismantled, moved and rebuilt on the nearby islet of Agilkia.

These artwork conflicts at times with our ideas of how art should look like; of how it meets the observer' s expectations. Clearly this art does not respond to the sciences of the Art Academies, does not imitate the real world, nor does it use conventional perspectives.

Mirit Ben-Nun transmits her inner world and its sounds, giving rise to an infinite number of artistic compositions, springs of dreams, an assortment of realities and perhaps her 'Unreality.

Her art is connected to her life and the real world, it is a back and forth between herself and the spectator. Her thoughts are expressed in a unique style and approach.

Mirit Ben-Nun's art usually exists independently of reality, she even dares to move it away. Her aggressiveness in the use of primary colors along with bright tones, reveal Her autonomy in relation to shapes. The lines, the points and the forms do not try to imitate reality but rather give each work a unique importance showing the emotional charge of the artist. The artist has a spirit of rebellion, new ideas, trying to overcome without seeking perfection, just looking for expression. Through her work she explores personal identity trying to redefine the art itself. Its purpose is to describe and illustrate or to reproduce the world and the nature of human civilization, focusing primarily on the dominant exposure of the expressive function. His art is made by an artist that reflects the complex problems that shape our diverse, global and rapidly changing world, trying to redefine art.

On a day trip to Lake Clearwater to take some snow shots. We left before dawn so we could catch the morning sun on the mountains. Canterbury High Country June 27, 2015 New Zealand. It was -7c here!

Lake Clearwater is a place of relative peace and solitude. Motor powered craft are not permitted on the lake however rowboats, kayaks, and windsurfers can be used. The strong and consistent winds funnelling off the mountains are a slice of heaven for windsurfers.

A small village of around 100 holiday homes (or baches as they are called in New Zealand) are located on the ground that seperates Lake Clearwater from Lake Camp, a two minute walk away. Overnight camping is permitted at a basic reserve area situated on the South end of Lake Clearwater, providing toilet facilities and water (required to be boiled for drinking).

I am getting feedback that I'm going crazy with colors in my recent uploads. So here's something to compensate :) This was taken on new years eve from the Manhattan Bridge. After some scouting I found this to be the best location to photograph the mighty Brooklyn Bridge with the city at the background. However, it's a little tricky (can get annoying real quickly) since the bridge keeps vibrating due to the heavy traffic (resulting in blurry pictures). I took about 5 shots before getting one that's reasonable sharp. Do let me know how you like it!

It is about 100 kilometers from here to TOKYO SKYTREE.

This was taken on the same day and place as Beacon of Hope. This is the place where I along with my friend Jeremy got locked in, and had to be rescued by the police. Talk about being lost in photo-shoot!

In Oakland, besides parks and scenic views, there are banks, restaurants, offices, residences and traffic.

As soon as I stepped off that elevator onto the observation deck, I knew what I was going to see was magical. But I was still amazed and surprised at the view looking down at the skyline from 342m. What I saw was a carpet of twinkling lights stretching to the horizon in three directions, while the twilight skies above complemented the hues and color of the glittering downtown of Toronto.

Behind this superficial facade of starry lights lay the real meaning of this city: a hub of commerce and civilization, with the glowing highways and the cold dark steel of the railways serving as the arteries and veins of this throbbing heart of Canada, moving people and goods from where they are to where they need to be. In just a single view, one can glance at the overall spectacle presented before and grasp the individual details that make this the focal point of this province.

I spent over an hour admiring this amazing spectacle, often zooming in to observe the individual details: a taxi picking up a ride, a slow moving stack train ambling its way through Toronto, a busy shopping mall with scurrying shoppers. And in all this, I never lost sight of the big picture: a cosmopolitan city along the frigid shores of Lake Ontario!
