Entre 2015 y 2017 se desarrolló el Programa Regional de Investigación e Innovación por Cadenas de Valor Agrícola (Priica) en cinco países de Centroamérica y Panamá y en el cual se trabajó bajo el concepto de redes regionales por cultivo: aguacate, papa, tomate y yuca. Con esta iniciativa se buscó que los agricultores tuvieran acceso facilitado a materiales genéticos de alta calidad como los suministrados por el CIAT, en el caso de la yuca. De allí el esfuerzo de varias instituciones para llevar a cada país variedades de alto potencial de rendimiento y mayor calidad nutricional de raíces. Kingley Vale is pure magic. One of the first National Nature Reserves in the UK, it contains yew trees that are up to 2000 years old. The Nature Reserve has Viking burial mounds dating to 830s, neolithic flint mines, an iron age settlement and a Romano-Celtic temple remains. Plus the trees. Here is my first edit.
