I took this along the Magnificent Mile during my Chicago trip. (it was cold there.) I just loved all of the lights, and if felt so fun and festive! Sadly, I was actually more ready for Christmas then than now - it is a balmy 62 degrees where I live and it is very hard for me to believe that Christmas is just around the corner!

Native to Mexico, Sedum Rubrotinctum or Jelly Bean Plants have jelly bean-shaped leaves (or beans) that are green in the shade and turn red at the tips when exposed to full sun. They produce bright yellow, star-shaped flowers around springtime. Other common names are Pork and Beans and Christmas Cheer.

Covid-19 has upended daily life in nearly every corner of the globe. Events have been cancelled, gatherings postponed and major life moments have been forced online.
But, Finland’s Santa Claus has a message of reassurance for worried children around the world as numerous countries reimpose new restrictions amid rising cases – despite everything going on, Christmas will not be cancelled.
In an early Christmas message as he answers post sent in from around the world, Santa responded to a little boy called David who was worried the festive season would be postponed this year.
The jolly St Nicholas reassured the youngster that Christmas would not be cancelled but to remember, “one of the most important wonderful aspects of Christmas is spending time together” before a helpful elf reminds watchers that they should do so while following relevant public health guidelines in their areas.

I am in the process of opening up my own portrait studio out of which I can offer Pet Portrait Photo Services.
Building my portfolio for marketing, today my Super Trooper "Barney" had to model my recently arrived Christmas Decoration for me.
For first time Studio Work, I am quite pleased with the outcome :) More practice shoots to come, before I begin 2026 with hopefully a new and successful business budding from my place! Wish me luck!
My last Christmas fig this year, and probably the last figure I'll post this week, I'll be busy with a lot of stuff, I'll for sure upload more stuff next week, but anyways here's Buddy. I think the head for him looks close enough for him, but I absolutely love how the rest of him looks, from the hair/hat combo, the body, and the legs. Happy Christmas Eve and an early Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Quanzah, Lief Erikson Day, and whatever other Holiday you might celebrate to all of you!

These are all low growing or trailing species, suitable for low garden borders or used between specimen plantings. The varieties here, which grow 4 - 6" tall, also suitable for containers, strawberry pots and living wreaths. There is one plant I've not labeled; see if you can spot it and label it.

3 sleeps to go. This is a handmade smocked Christmas ball that is hanging on my tree. I didn't make it though - I bought it from the lady who was teaching me how to smock. The little scary Santa is a tie that was around a bag of sweets that my children received way back when they were little. Some of my decorations were chosen by my children each year back in the 70s and 80s and still adorn the tree each year.
