I pity the poor asshole whose living room window will be facing the Chopsticks Express sign.

It is believed that chopsticks have been around for about 5,000 years and that they were first used in China. The reason behind their initial extended use in China is quite interesting. When fuel was scarce, ancient Chinese people started to cut food into small pieces so it would cook faster and use minimal fuel. Because the pieces were so small, there was no need for a knife at the table so the bite-sized pieces could be picked up with chopsticks.

Re-visiting an image from earlier in the year. What I like here is the limited depth of field and repeating pattern.

This clever device is actually chopsticks for those, like me, who have never mastered the art of using real chopsticks. You grasp it beyond where the spring is and you can pick up all sorts of delectable goodies. Will put up the grasp picture in a bit.

…….Btw, I have no clue where I got these- probably a yard sale or donation store! Either here or maybe in the Netherlands when I was visiting my DD.

Walking along the streets of Stockholm, we came across a few of these men, whose sole job is to stand on a busy walkway all day to promote the restaurant. I guess he is bored and may be playing a game on his phone. He even has contingency plans for rain!

My son made the chopsticks in the workshop of Lacquering, during the school trip. Beautiful work !

If Tigger had her way, she would sit in this chair and use the chopsticks to eat dinner on the table. Luckily for Naomi, who sits there, Tigger gets kicked off when we eat.
