Hi. I've been on a FlickrSiesta. After my last post my in-laws took everyone (my fam, my bro in law's fam, my sis in law and her hubby) to Hawaii for almost two weeks to celebrate my Mother-in-Law's retirement. Good times were had by all. Expect some more photos from that trip soon.

Life has been good, but busy. Nothing too exciting, just day to day kidstuff, workstuff etc.

If you've ever taken a FlickrBreak, you may know how hard it is to come back and get caught up, so I apologize to my friends/contacts for missing out on what I am sure have been awesome photos over the past few weeks.

I hope you are keeping well. I'm looking forward to seeing all youse guyses works.

This is his head scratch face. I was giving him a good head scratch and quickly pulled my hand away, he looooves a head scratch!

Inside this cast cap is what is called the chopper. it is a drum with two sets of equally spaced rectangular holes around its circumference. When the chopper spins, the holes line up with the throat of the horn and air escapes creating the wailing sound. This chopper is dual tone which is to say that there are six equally spaced holes around one half of the chopper and five holes around the other. This creates two tones simultaneously which creates a very distinctive warning sound not likely to be confused with the sound of a fire truck or ambulance.

This Federal Signal Thunderbolt 1000AT air raid and tornado siren was part of the Norman, Oklahoma outdoor warning system. Norman elected to replace their mechanical sirens with electronic outdoor warning sirens and I acquired this siren from the installation vendor for the new system.

It was an exhausting and expensive ordeal. My objective is to strip off the existing paint, repaint it and apply new decals, and then reinstall it on a short pole as a static display.

Saw this and had to have a pic of it

far to expensive to buy tho

Shooting for industrial clients can be fun and exciting and land you in some crazy situations!

This was to document the excitement of equipment being deposited on the roof of a building opposite the rooftop I was shooting from.

Chopper for Urban Law Enforcement

Uploaded for KB Shooters Nostalgia theme.

I spotted this bad boy while wandering through Newtown today. Anyone who was a kid in the 70s knows what this is. It's a Chopper, the coolest thing on two wheels in 1978! I learned to ride a bike on one of these. Mine was yellow, just like this one. My brother had a purple one, not nearly as cool as mine. I've given the photo the "paint" treatment in LucisArt SE. Choppers are worthy of a painting.

Well here is the next step i have taken with the bike. I have started adding and shaping the rear end.

You'll also notice the seat . It's a Brooks leather springer saddle, made in England. ( Old school baby !!!!!!!)

Next step is to finish the brackets and welding on the rear end, I keep changing my mind on how i want it to look, but i'm getting there.

Love to know what you think ;-)

As bought. Worn out tyres, bent forks, snapped spokes, rusty chain, seized seatpost.... Was still a bargain though! This has now been sold on to someone who will look after it better than I have
