Our friendly chipmunk happily "stealing" the peanuts from our porch. He can stuff up to three unshelled nuts in his pouches. Memories of the summer of 2007 while it is 18F outside now.

This little chipmunk was scurrying around in the leaves looking for nuts to cache for the winter. They have been known to gather up to half a bushel of food to help get them through the winter...all carried in their cheek pouches.

Backlit chipmunk captured during the golden hour at Blue Heron Nature Preserve. (Tamias striatus)

Such furry cuteness

Even when he makes mischief

I must forgive him

This little fellow for some unknown reason started to chuck loudly at 6:30 in the morning a few days ago and never stopped for the next hour!

One of the only chipmunks I saw on this trip. Not sure why, because in years past, these cute little guy's were running about all over the place keeping everyone entertained and amused.

Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so they might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH!

Just a little chipmunk on a log at Tahquamenon Falls State Park.

Taken last year.

Photographed in Wisconsin.

Lunch break during photo shoot.

While walking around the zoo photographing the animals this little guy jumped up on a fence post and struck a pose as if to say, “ don’t forget me”!

Photo ops are everywhere if you keep your eyes open. Driving through Yellowstone it was time to find a restroom. While the family took turns using the bathroom, I sat down at a picnic table to talk to some other visitors. That's when I noticed this chipmunk scampering through the area looking for a snack. Conveniently he hopped up on this stump and began grooming his tail. And yet for the life of me I can't get my kids to pose like that (well they don't have tails, but that's beside the point).

Sorry for posting yet another picture of a chipmunk, I can't help it. They just love it around here and they don't seem to mind me getting close to take pictures of them.

This one was just relaxing on the stair's railing.

These cute little guys seem to be scurrying everywhere this year, sometimes darting out right in front of me. They sure are active little critters! Wildwood Park, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
